Instapage, a popular landing-page software, allows users to create landing pages and optimize them for their websites. In this article, I’d like to share with you my comprehensive review of Instapage to determine if it is the best landing page builder on the market.
I’ve been using Instapage for quite some time to make high-converting pages for my and other businesses. Since I got the opportunity and enough money to move from a different page builder to here, I have grown to appreciate how much Instapage can offer. Of course, there are some benefits that I’ve enjoyed so far, but for every pro, there has to be a con somehow.
With that in mind, I will be reviewing the features of Instapage and also discussing the pricing plans available to the platform as well as how to use it. By the end of this review, you’ll have a clearer picture of whether or not Instapage is the right choice for your business.

Instapage Landing Page Builder: A Overview How To Add Using Google Sheets
Before we can get to the bottom, it is important that you understand what Instapage actually is as a platform. Instapage is a landing page builder designed to help you generate attractive, eye-catching, and overall high-quality landing pages. It’s more than a landing page editor. Since a showcase of very powerful tools backs it, Instapage makes it easy to create high-converting landing pages quickly and efficiently.
With its drag-and-drop interface, Instapage lets you customize your pages without any semblance of coding knowledge. You can also explore ready-made templates that are suitable for different industries and niches. Thanks to its dynamic customization and personalization capabilities, you can make your pages stand out from the competition with an extensive library of images, videos, building blocks, and other components.
Instapage offers advanced analytics tools that allow you to monitor how each page performs, in keeping with its promise of delivering outstanding conversion rates and promising leads through your landing pages. It also allows you to connect to leading reporting, marketing and testing platforms to make the most out of your landing pages. This makes it possible to quickly reach your goals. Instapage is a popular online landing page builder because of these features and many more.
Instapage is a tool to create a landing page
A landing page is essential for any business, especially one that is online-focused. Not only does it present how your business will appear to the general public, but it also serves as an ever-effective way of building a strong, dedicated consumer base.
Although the idea of creating a landing page sounds appealing, it comes at a significant cost. The overall cost of creating a landing page can depend on several factors, from the complexity of the design to the resources needed to build and maintain it. However, it is more expensive to create and maintain a landing page that has many features. If you don’t have the time or skills to make one, it’s better to hire a professional agency or designer to do it. Going that route would eventually cost you a few hundred to several thousand dollars more than your budget would allow.
So, if you want to create high-quality, high-converting landing pages – the same ones that any established web designer can do, yet need more money to splurge on one, Instapage could be your ideal solution. Instapage offers many customization options and features that make it easy to create pages that look great and work perfectly.

Why Use Instapage?
Instapage is an effective tool for creating engaging, user-friendly landing pages that drive potential users into bona fide customers and increase revenue. Apart from its page-building customization tools, here are some of the go-to reasons why this platform is worth the try for anyone who manages any business, big or small.
No Need to Learn How to Make Complicated Landing Pages
Instapage is an intuitive platform that makes it easy to create beautiful pages quickly and without the need for outside help. You don’t need to be a web design expert just to build a fully-functioning page because all of its tools are ready for that purpose.
Made to Create Landing Pages and Landing Pages Only
Instapage templates are designed specifically for landing pages, unlike other page builders like the built-in WordPress page creator. Plus, you have many more options to choose from, so you will get everything!
More analytics-oriented page-building
With Instapage, you can optimize your landing page for conversions by testing different variations and tracking results. You can also maximize your reach with powerful analytics and optimization tools to track your page’s performance and identify areas for improvement.
You can create multiple landing pages with one account
If you happen to manage multiple websites, your single Instapage account is enough to create and host multiple landing pages for each site. This is a huge advantage over other website builders whose base plans allow you to manage only one per account.

- Easy-to-use page builder that uses drag-and-drop technology
- The option to create mobile-friendly versions of landing pages

- Blocks, forms, and other elements that can be easily resized and modified to fit your needs.
- Unlimited access to high-quality stock images
- Easy publishing and export to various platforms, including WordPress and your custom domain
- Integrations with popular email marketing and digital marketing tools like MailChimp
These are only a few of the many features you can expect from Instapage. I’ll show you the rest later on in the article, but for now, since we have a general idea of what it is, it would be nice if I take you through a hands-on look at what it’s like to use this landing page builder for the first time.
Sign up now to create an account. You won’t be able to fully experience Instapage until you sign up. As soon as you log in, you’ll first notice your dashboard, where you’ll find a full overview of how much progress you’ll be making. Since this is your first time, you won’t be able to see a lot on your dashboard. It’s okay, you’ll learn how to create your own landing page. Let’s get started!
Building a Landing Page from Scratch
To create a landing page, simply click on “Landing Pages” on the left-side menu from your dashboard, then “Create Page.” Once you hit the button, you’ll instantly be greeted by a vast collection of around 200 landing page templates, each of which you can use and customize however you like for whatever you want to promote.
You’ll also be given the option to start with a blank page without any template or design (Blank Page), but that’s up to you if you think you have experience in building websites. However, since many of you are reading this and will use it for the first time, we’ll construct a full landing page using existing page templates for the sake of this tutorial.
You have many options to choose from depending on the purpose of your campaign. Select the Use case filter to see a list of available templates. There are many templates that you can choose from. One template is designed to encourage users to download your app (App Download), another one to sign people up for an event (Event registration) or one to thank them for buying your product/service. Instapage has a template for every use case.
Now, let’s say we’re building a landing page to launch a product. What are you going to do in this situation? You can start by selecting “Product Launch” from the filter. Next, choose one of the themes that will appear in the search results. As you pick the landing page design that you think looks good for what you’re aiming to promote, you’ll be welcomed by a quick page preview. This is to give you a taste of your end product once it’s published to the public online.
Then, it’s up to you whether you’re going to use it or not. If, for some reason, you don’t vibe with the layout, and you can always go back and skim through until you find the perfect fit. Otherwise, if you like it, then you can click “Use this layout.” After you have chosen the landing page design you will need to give it a name to help keep things organized.
Customizing Your Landing Page
Now that you have your page layout, it is time to personalize it to your liking. You’ll be immediately redirected to the Instapage page builder, which happens to be one of my all-time favorites coming from the platform (an opinion that, surprisingly, everyone agrees!). In this stage, you have the opportunity to make your landing page more visually appealing and engaging. Instapage takes care of everything for you.
Within the Instapage Builder, you can very easily drag and drop elements within the page anywhere you want, unlike the WordPress version, where you could try to pull any element, only for it to be locked in a certain row/column and not move entirely. It works in a similar way to the Photoshop interface. You won’t see any elements you drag get locked, so you can move your mouse around and drag-and drop as you please.
While the ability to drag and drop may feel more Photoshop-like, the rest of the Builder’s interface should be in some ways familiar, especially to those who’ve used the WordPress editor in the past. There are many elements, widgets and forms available to you. Once you click on one of them, you can make any changes you want to your landing page.
Adding Elements and Making Modifications
You can add and rearrange visual elements to your Instapage Builder experience. Additionally, you can add interactive features like surveys and text box forms to help capture user data easily while keeping them engaged. You can also use fonts, colors, and other design elements to further enhance the look of your page. How To Add Using Google Sheets
Instapage terminology refers to a group of elements that are grouped together as a block. A block can be modified with a few adjustments and elements. You can also copy, duplicate, or even delete it if you wish. And that’s just for creating a full block – if you don’t have ample time to deal with it or are not confident enough with your page-building skills, you can always look at the Instapage Builder’s selection of block templates, each ready-to-use.
You’ll notice the preview for a landing page you create is designed for desktop. If you want to create a mobile-friendly version of your page here in Instapage, you won’t have to worry about starting again from scratch. Every template is optimized for mobile use. You can hide certain elements, or entire blocks, just like you could with the desktop version. This is useful for those who visit your landing page via their smartphones.
With this life-saving feature, you won’t need to go too far to the point where you’ll have two completely different page versions. Overall, by customizing your landing page this way, you can create an attractive and effective platform for marketing your products or services.
Publishing Your Landing Page
Now comes the crucial part. Now you need to publish your page to make it available to your audience. Publishing a landing page is an important step in the process of creating success in whatever you’re promoting, whether it’s a product or a service. This will make sure that your landing page is visible to as many people as possible, and increase traffic to your website. How To Add Using Google Sheets
Satisfied with your design and layout? You can integrate Instapage with any of the following options:
- Custom domain – you’ll need to connect it to your Instapage account first before you get it published to your domain – the process will be quite complex, but Instapage will lead you through it with instruction guides along the way
- WordPress – You can publish your page instantly thanks to its native WordPress integration
- Drupal – if you work for a large-scale company that has Drupal, you can publish your Instapage-made page instantly when you connect it using the Drupal plug-in.
- Facebook – this option is useful if you expect most of your visitors to find your page via Facebook and you want to improve the user experience there
- Demo page – This is an easy way to publish your landing page without a domain. Instead, Instapage will provide a subdomain.
You can also download your page to be edited and modified for future use, or export it to co-workers and collaborators. If, for some reason, you’re not fully ready to publish it, you can always save its progress, and you can come back to it anytime.

Instapage’s Other Important Features
Instablocks & Global Blocks
You can add elements to create blocks within pages, but you also have the benefit of being able save it and reuse it whenever you need to make another page. You can also save your own blocks as Instablocks to cut down on the time it takes to build landing pages. These blocks can be used in future pages. To do this, simply right-click on the block you want to use again, then click “Save to My Blocks.” How To Add Using Google Sheets
Meanwhile, Global Blocks work similarly to Instablocks – the only difference between the two is that the design and layout of the former are specific to one page. At the same time, the latter looks consistent even across multiple pages that have it included. This means if you edit a Global Block on one page, all the changes will be reflected on the same block built into other pages. This can be very useful if you have a section on your website that you wish to be consistent across pages, such as a header, footer or footer. However, you can always disable it if you prefer.
Split Testing to Optimize Your Landing Pages
A/B/n testing is a great way to optimize your page. Before you’re ready to publish, you need to ensure that whatever you’re making should attract the general public. With the optimization experiments feature built into the Instapage Builder, you can easily determine which elements or blocks of the landing page should stay as is since most users are particularly drawn to it, as well as which parts need to be changed.
Split-testing multiple versions of a landing pages is possible with Instapage. Click on the “Traffic Split” button in the Builder to view the options. This allows you to compare and contrast different versions of the page to determine which one performs best. You can create multiple versions of your page and decide the percentage of traffic to be sent to each variation. Instapage then shows you detailed analytic metrics, allowing you to see which version performs better. You can use the winning page as your final landing page layout or continue testing it with different variants to optimize it, ensuring that your page delivers the best possible visitor experience and improves conversion rates. Real-Time Collaboration Tools
One of the many nice aspects of Instapage is that you can conveniently collaborate with other people to create a more immersive experience. With the platform’s live collaboration, working in groups or as a team will be possible. As you turn on Comment mode, you and your teammates can leave comments on different parts of the page by simply clicking on any of the elements or blocks. This feature is helpful if you have any suggestions or requests for changes to the layout and design.
Instapage also allows you to share your page with your team members, even if it is still in progress. This URL can be copied and shared in the group chat. You may opt to invite any of them with their email addresses as well. Not only can your page be accessed by fellow Instapage users – those who don’t have one can also take a look at what you’re working on.
Increased Conversions with Instapage AdMap
The AdMap tool is a great way to make sure your landing page for your product/service gets sent to the right people. The AdMap tool is designed to increase conversions and maximize return on investment. It allows you to create and track ads across multiple platforms, including Google search results.
AdMap lets you customize your ads according to your audience’s preferences and behavior. It can help optimize customer journeys by identifying and eliminating roadblocks and pain points that prevent customers from converting. It also allows users to view how changes to ads or pages affect the performance of their campaigns. With its easy-to-use interface and detailed analytics reports, Instapage AdMap is the perfect solution for anyone who wants to increase their ROI and conversion rate. To access the feature, you will need a Google Ads account. How To Add Using Google Sheets

Speaking of Google Ads, if you happen to use it frequently for digital marketing and business purposes, you can easily connect your landing page with your Google Ads account to maximize your reach to a much wider audience. You can easily track the progress of your campaign, how much you spent, and how popular your pages were for thousands of online users around the world by just a few clicks – all from your Instapage dashboard.
Heatmap Analytics Tool
Instapage’s native heatmap analytics allows you to see how users interact with your landing pages. This will allow you to gain valuable insight into customers’ use of a website. This tool allows businesses to identify hotspots in their websites, such as pages visited the most or buttons clicked most frequently.
Heatmaps also help to highlight any usability issues customers may be experiencing, allowing businesses to make changes quickly and effectively. This can be used to track visitor journeys across multiple pages and devices, providing valuable information about how customers engage with content and websites and helping businesses grow and succeed in the long run. Analytics in Instapage
Instapage excels as both a landing-page creator and a lead generation tool. Its analytics section perfectly reflects this. As one of the platform’s top-selling assets, real-time analytics gives you a full scope of how well your page is performing online, thanks to its detailed visuals and accurate numbers. This feature allows you to monitor and analyze their landing pages’ performance. The feature provides detailed information on metrics such as page views, unique visitors, bounce rates, and more. Instapage Analytics helps users understand how their landing pages perform and make data-driven decisions about how to improve them.

Considering its wide and robust range of advanced-level tools and features, it’s no surprise that Instapage’s price range is more high-end than other landing page software. Previously, the cost of its services started at $68, but today, it’s priced at as low as $199 every month. For smaller businesses that have limited budgets, the pricing might be too steep.
