Instapage Landing Page Builder: An Overview Integrating Instapage With Wix
Before we can get to the bottom, it is important that you understand what Instapage actually is as a platform. Instapage is a landing-page builder that helps you create attractive, eye-catching and high-quality landing pages. However, it’s not just any average landing page editor. Instapage is backed by a number of powerful tools that make it simple to quickly create high-converting landing page templates.
Instapage’s drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to customize your pages with no coding skills. It also allows you to explore a wide range of ready-made templates for various industries or niches to get started immediately. Thanks to its dynamic customization and personalization capabilities, you can make your pages stand out from the competition with an extensive library of images, videos, building blocks, and other components.
Instapage offers advanced analytics tools that allow you to monitor how each page performs, in keeping with its promise of delivering outstanding conversion rates and promising leads through your landing pages. Additionally, to help you make the most of your landing pages, it allows you to connect with leading marketing, reporting, and testing platforms, making it highly possible to reach your goals quickly. Instapage is a popular online landing page builder because of these features and many more.
Using Instapage to Create a Landing Page
A landing page is essential for any business, especially one that is online-focused. Not only does it present how your business will appear to the general public, but it also serves as an ever-effective way of building a strong, dedicated consumer base.
Although the idea of creating a landing page sounds appealing, it comes at a significant cost. There are many factors that can affect the cost of creating a landing site, including the complexity of the design and the resources required to build it. That said, if you want a feature-rich landing page with a more complex design, that would be too expensive to build and maintain. If you don’t have the time or skills to make one, it’s better to hire a professional agency or designer to do it. Going that route would eventually cost you a few hundred to several thousand dollars more than your budget would allow.
Instapage is the perfect solution if you are looking to create high-quality and high-converting landing pages. Instapage offers many customization options and features that make it easy to create pages that look great and work perfectly.

Instapage is an effective tool for creating engaging, user-friendly landing pages that drive potential users into bona fide customers and increase revenue. More analytics-oriented page-building
With Instapage, you can optimize your landing page for conversions by testing different variations and tracking results. With powerful analytics and optimization tools, you can increase your reach and track the performance of your page to identify improvement areas.
You can create multiple landing pages with one account
Instapage accounts can be used to host multiple landing pages on multiple websites. This is a huge advantage over other website builders whose base plans allow you to manage only one per account.

- Easy-to-use page builder that uses drag-and-drop technology

- Easily resizable and modifiable blocks, forms, and other page elements
- Unlimited access to high-quality stock images
- Easy publishing and export to various platforms, including WordPress and your custom domain
- Integrations with popular email marketing and digital marketing tools like MailChimp
These are only a few of the many features you can expect from Instapage. I’ll show you the rest later on in the article, but for now, since we have a general idea of what it is, it would be nice if I take you through a hands-on look at what it’s like to use this landing page builder for the first time.
The first step that you’ll need to take is to sign up and create your account. Just like every other landing page builder, you won’t fully get the Instapage experience until you register your account. As soon as you log in, you’ll first notice your dashboard, where you’ll find a full overview of how much progress you’ll be making. You won’t see much on your dashboard because this is your first attempt. But that’s okay because you’re going to learn anyway how to build a landing page of your own. Let’s get started!
From scratch, you can build a landing page
To create a landing page, simply click on “Landing Pages” on the left-side menu from your dashboard, then “Create Page.” You’ll be presented with a wide selection of landing page templates that you can customize for your promotion.
You’ll also be given the option to start with a blank page without any template or design (Blank Page), but that’s up to you if you think you have experience in building websites. We will build a landing page from scratch using templates that are already in use, as many people are reading this tutorial.
There are a lot of template options that you can choose from based on your planned campaign by selecting the use case filter. You may find a template that’s designed to convince users to download your app (App download), one geared toward signing people up for an upcoming event (Event registration), or one that’s made to simply thank them for purchasing your product/service (Thank you). No matter the use case, Instapage has a template all set for you to use.
Let’s suppose we are creating a landing page for launching a product. What are you going to do in this situation? To start, you can pick “Product launch” from the use case filter, then select one of the multiple themes that will come up in the search results. A page preview will be displayed to you as you select the landing page design you feel best fits your product. This is to give you a taste of your end product once it’s published to the public online.
Then, it’s up to you whether you’re going to use it or not. You can always go back to the beginning and look at the layout until you find it perfect. If you love it, you can click “Use that layout.” Once you’ve chosen your landing page design, you’ll need to come up with a name as a way to keep things in order.
Customizing Your Landing Page
With your chosen page layout now ready to go, the next step is to customize it according to your liking. The Instapage page creator will redirect you immediately. This is a feature that I love and everyone seems to agree with. This stage allows you to enhance the visual appeal and engagement of your landing page. The best part of it all is that you don’t need to do any of the work since Instapage does it for you.
Within the Instapage Builder, you can very easily drag and drop elements within the page anywhere you want, unlike the WordPress version, where you could try to pull any element, only for it to be locked in a certain row/column and not move entirely. It works in a similar way to the Photoshop interface. You won’t see any elements you drag get locked, so you can move your mouse around and drag-and drop as you please.
Although drag-and-drop may seem more Photoshop-like than the rest of Builder’s interface, it should still feel familiar to anyone who has used the WordPress editor before. You’ll find a full set of elements, widgets, and forms within your reach, and once you click on any of them, you can add as many tweaks as possible to make your landing page more presentable.
Adding Elements and Making Adjustments
The Instapage Builder experience, of course, wouldn’t be complete without the ability to add and rearrange a wide array of visual elements such as images, videos, and graphics, as well as headlines, text boxes, buttons, shapes, and even widgets. Additionally, you can add interactive features like surveys and text box forms to help capture user data easily while keeping them engaged. To enhance the appearance of your webpage, you can use colors, fonts, and other design elements. Integrating Instapage With Wix
Instapage terminology refers to a group of elements that are grouped together as a block. You can add elements and make a few notable adjustments to a block. You can also copy, duplicate, or even delete it if you wish. This is just how to create a block. If you don’t have enough time or confidence in your page-building skills you can always use the Instapage Builder’s block templates.
You’ll notice the preview for a landing page you create is designed for desktop. Instapage makes it easy to create a mobile-friendly version. Every template is optimized for mobile use. Just like with editing the desktop version, you can conceal certain elements or even whole blocks from those who will go to your landing page using their smartphones.
This life-saving feature will allow you to create two different pages without having to go too far. This is how you can make your landing page attractive and effective for marketing your products or service.
Publishing Your Landing Page
Now comes the crucial part. Now you need to publish your page to make it available to your audience. Publishing a landing page is an important step in the process of creating success in whatever you’re promoting, whether it’s a product or a service. This will make sure that your landing page is visible to as many people as possible, and increase traffic to your website. Integrating Instapage With Wix
Are you satisfied with the layout and design? You can integrate Instapage with any of the following options:
- You will need to connect your custom domain to your Instapage account before it can be published to your domain. This process is quite complicated, but Instapage will guide you with instructions.
- WordPress – You can publish your page instantly thanks to its native WordPress integration
- Drupal – if you work for a large-scale company that has Drupal, you can publish your Instapage-made page instantly when you connect it using the Drupal plug-in.
- Facebook – this option is useful if you expect most of your visitors to find your page via Facebook and you want to improve the user experience there
- Demo page – this is a quick and easy option for publishing your landing page if you don’t own a website domain; instead, you’ll be provided a subdomain from Instapage itself.
You can also download your page to be edited and modified for future use, or export it to co-workers and collaborators. You can save your page progress and come back anytime if you aren’t ready to publish it.

Instapage’s Other Important Features
Instablocks and Global Blocks
While you can add certain elements to create a block within a page, you get the added benefit of being able to save and reuse it whenever you want to create another page. You can also save your own blocks as Instablocks to cut down on the time it takes to build landing pages. These blocks can be used in future pages. To do this, simply right-click on the block you want to use again, then click “Save to My Blocks.” Integrating Instapage With Wix
Meanwhile, Global Blocks work similarly to Instablocks – the only difference between the two is that the design and layout of the former are specific to one page. The Global Blocks look consistent across all pages. This means if you edit a Global Block on one page, all the changes will be reflected on the same block built into other pages. This can be very useful if you have a section on your website that you wish to be consistent across pages, such as a header, footer or footer. You can disable this feature if you wish.
Split Testing to Optimize Your Landing Pages
A/B/n testing is a great way to optimize your page. Before you’re ready to publish, you need to ensure that whatever you’re making should attract the general public. With the optimization experiments feature built into the Instapage Builder, you can easily determine which elements or blocks of the landing page should stay as is since most users are particularly drawn to it, as well as which parts need to be changed.
Instapage allows you to split-test multiple versions of a landing page by clicking on the “Traffic Split” button in the Builder, which enables you to compare different variations of the same page and analyze which performs better. You can create multiple pages and choose the percentage of traffic that will be sent to each version. Instapage then shows you detailed analytic metrics, allowing you to see which version performs better. You can use the winning page as your final landing page layout or continue testing it with different variants to optimize it, ensuring that your page delivers the best possible visitor experience and improves conversion rates. Real-Time Collaboration Tools
One of the many nice aspects of Instapage is that you can conveniently collaborate with other people to create a more immersive experience. If you work in a group or team, you’ll be able to do exactly that with the platform’s real-time collaboration features. As you turn on Comment mode, you and your teammates can leave comments on different parts of the page by simply clicking on any of the elements or blocks. This is useful if any of you want to request changes or additions in the design and layout, as well as other suggestions.
Instapage has also made it possible for you to share your page, even if it’s in progress, with your teammates through a private URL that you can copy and share in their group chat. You may opt to invite any of them with their email addresses as well. Your page can be accessed by other Instapage users. Those who don’t have an account can still view what you are working on.
Increased Conversions with Instapage AdMap
The AdMap tool is a great way to make sure your landing page for your product/service gets sent to the right people. It’s designed to help increase your conversions and maximize your return on investment by creating and tracking ads across multiple platforms, particularly Google search results and social media sites.
AdMap lets you customize your ads according to your audience’s preferences and behavior. It can help optimize customer journeys by identifying and eliminating roadblocks and pain points that prevent customers from converting. It also allows users to view how changes to ads or pages affect the performance of their campaigns. Instapage AdMap offers a simple interface and detailed analytics reports that will help anyone increase their conversion rate and ROI. You must take note, though, that you must have a Google Ads account to access this feature. Integrating Instapage With Wix
Integration with Google Ads
Google Ads is a great tool for business and digital marketing. You can connect your landing page to your Google Ads account to increase your reach to a wider audience. You can easily track the progress of your campaign, how much you spent, and how popular your pages were for thousands of online users around the world by just a few clicks – all from your Instapage dashboard.
Heatmap Analytics Tool
As a means to better understand customer behavior on your page, Instapage’s native heatmap analytics feature lets you take an in-depth, real-time look at how your users interact with certain parts of your landing page, offering valuable insights into how customers use a website. With this tool, businesses can easily identify hotspots on their sites, such as pages that are visited most often or buttons that are clicked most frequently.
Heatmaps also help to highlight any usability issues customers may be experiencing, allowing businesses to make changes quickly and effectively. This can be used to track visitor journeys across multiple pages and devices, providing valuable information about how customers engage with content and websites and helping businesses grow and succeed in the long run. Analytics in Instapage
Instapage excels as both a landing-page creator and a lead generation tool. Its analytics section perfectly reflects this. As one of the platform’s top-selling assets, real-time analytics gives you a full scope of how well your page is performing online, thanks to its detailed visuals and accurate numbers. It allows you to track and analyze the performance of their landing pages. This feature gives detailed information about metrics like page views, unique visitors and bounce rates. This information can then be used to optimize and improve the quality of landing pages and, in return, the overall standing of a business.
Included in the lineup of analytics tools that Instapage offers is the Conversion Goals tool built within the page builder, which allows you to set specific goals for your page to track. Additionally, you can integrate with third-party analytics platforms to gain insights into user behavior and help boost the optimization of your page, such as Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and more. Instapage Analytics allows users to analyze how landing pages perform and make data-driven choices about how to improve them.
Instapage Pricing: What Does it Cost?
Considering its wide and robust range of advanced-level tools and features, it’s no surprise that Instapage’s price range is more high-end than other landing page software. Previously, the cost of its services started at $68, but today, it’s priced at as low as $199 every month. For smaller businesses that have limited budgets, the pricing might be too steep. Still, it’s worth noting that Instapage provides much more than any landing page editor can, including WordPress.
Below is a complete list of all the Instapage plans currently available: Integrating Instapage With Wix
- Build Plan – As low as $199/month (an annual payment), and includes core features like A/B testing, visual collaborative tools, Instapages AdMap and integrations with Zapier
