Instapage Landing Page Builder: An Overview Autofitting Instapage
Before we get to the bottom of all of this, you must know first-hand what Instapage really is as a platform. Instapage is a landing page builder designed to help you generate attractive, eye-catching, and overall high-quality landing pages. It’s more than a landing page editor. Since a showcase of very powerful tools backs it, Instapage makes it easy to create high-converting landing pages quickly and efficiently.
Instapage’s drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to customize your pages with no coding skills. It also allows you to explore a wide range of ready-made templates for various industries or niches to get started immediately. With its ability to customize and personalize dynamically, your pages will stand out among the rest with an extensive library that includes images, videos and building blocks.
Instapage offers advanced analytics tools that allow you to monitor how each page performs, in keeping with its promise of delivering outstanding conversion rates and promising leads through your landing pages. It also allows you to connect to leading reporting, marketing and testing platforms to make the most out of your landing pages. This makes it possible to quickly reach your goals. Instapage is a popular online landing page builder because of these features and many more.
Instapage is a tool to create a landing page
A landing page is essential for any business, especially one that is online-focused. Not only does it present how your business will appear to the general public, but it also serves as an ever-effective way of building a strong, dedicated consumer base.
Although the idea of creating a landing page sounds appealing, it comes at a significant cost. The overall cost of creating a landing page can depend on several factors, from the complexity of the design to the resources needed to build and maintain it. However, it is more expensive to create and maintain a landing page that has many features. It doesn’t help, either, if you don’t have the skills or time to create one yourself and would rather rely on hiring a designer or agency to do it for you. Going that route would eventually cost you a few hundred to several thousand dollars more than your budget would allow.
So, if you want to create high-quality, high-converting landing pages – the same ones that any established web designer can do, yet need more money to splurge on one, Instapage could be your ideal solution. Instapage offers many customization options and features that make it easy to create pages that look great and work perfectly.

As you can see, these are just some of the many features that you can expect from Instapage. I’ll show you the rest later on in the article, but for now, since we have a general idea of what it is, it would be nice if I take you through a hands-on look at what it’s like to use this landing page builder for the first time.
The first step that you’ll need to take is to sign up and create your account. You won’t be able to fully experience Instapage until you sign up. As soon as you log in, you’ll first notice your dashboard, where you’ll find a full overview of how much progress you’ll be making. Since this is your first time, you won’t be able to see a lot on your dashboard. It’s okay, you’ll learn how to create your own landing page. Let’s get started!
From scratch, you can build a landing page
To create a landing page, simply click on “Landing Pages” on the left-side menu from your dashboard, then “Create Page.” Once you hit the button, you’ll instantly be greeted by a vast collection of around 200 landing page templates, each of which you can use and customize however you like for whatever you want to promote.
If you are an experienced web designer, you will be able to create a blank page. We will build a landing page from scratch using templates that are already in use, as many people are reading this tutorial.
You have many options to choose from depending on the purpose of your campaign. Select the Use case filter to see a list of available templates. You may find a template that’s designed to convince users to download your app (App download), one geared toward signing people up for an upcoming event (Event registration), or one that’s made to simply thank them for purchasing your product/service (Thank you). Instapage has a template for every use case.
Let’s suppose we are creating a landing page for launching a product. What should you do? To start, you can pick “Product launch” from the use case filter, then select one of the multiple themes that will come up in the search results. As you pick the landing page design that you think looks good for what you’re aiming to promote, you’ll be welcomed by a quick page preview. This preview will give you an idea of the final product when it is made available to the public.
Then, it’s up to you whether you’re going to use it or not. If, for some reason, you don’t vibe with the layout, and you can always go back and skim through until you find the perfect fit. If you love it, you can click “Use that layout.” Once you’ve chosen your landing page design, you’ll need to come up with a name as a way to keep things in order.
Customizing Your Landing Page
With your chosen page layout now ready to go, the next step is to customize it according to your liking. The Instapage page creator will redirect you immediately. This is a feature that I love and everyone seems to agree with. This stage allows you to enhance the visual appeal and engagement of your landing page. The best part of it all is that you don’t need to do any of the work since Instapage does it for you.
Instapage Builder allows you to drag and drop elements anywhere on the page. This is in contrast to WordPress, which may allow you to try pulling any element but it will be locked in a row or column and cannot move at all. Instead, how it works can simply be compared to that of the Photoshop interface – you won’t ever see the elements you’re dragging get locked all of a sudden, so indeed, you have the freedom to move your mouse and drag-and-drop however you like.
While the ability to drag and drop may feel more Photoshop-like, the rest of the Builder’s interface should be in some ways familiar, especially to those who’ve used the WordPress editor in the past. You’ll find a full set of elements, widgets, and forms within your reach, and once you click on any of them, you can add as many tweaks as possible to make your landing page more presentable.
Adding Elements and Making Adjustments
The Instapage Builder experience, of course, wouldn’t be complete without the ability to add and rearrange a wide array of visual elements such as images, videos, and graphics, as well as headlines, text boxes, buttons, shapes, and even widgets. Interactive features such as surveys and text boxes can be added to your Instapage Builder account to capture user data while keeping them interested. To enhance the appearance of your webpage, you can use colors, fonts, and other design elements. Autofitting Instapage
In Instapage terms, a set of elements grouped is called a block. A block can be modified with a few adjustments and elements. If you want, you can copy, duplicate, and even delete the block. This is just how to create a block. If you don’t have enough time or confidence in your page-building skills you can always use the Instapage Builder’s block templates.
You’ll notice the preview for a landing page you create is designed for desktop. If you want to create a mobile-friendly version of your page here in Instapage, you won’t have to worry about starting again from scratch. Every template is optimized for mobile use. Just like with editing the desktop version, you can conceal certain elements or even whole blocks from those who will go to your landing page using their smartphones.
With this life-saving feature, you won’t need to go too far to the point where you’ll have two completely different page versions. This is how you can make your landing page attractive and effective for marketing your products or service.
Publishing Your Landing Page
This is the most important part. Once your page is ready and optimized, the next thing you must need to do is to publish it to make it live and accessible to your audience. A landing page is essential to promoting a product or service. This will ensure that your page is seen by as many people as possible and help you to increase traffic to your site. Autofitting Instapage
Satisfied with your design and layout? Instapage can be integrated with any of these options:
- Custom domain – you’ll need to connect it to your Instapage account first before you get it published to your domain – the process will be quite complex, but Instapage will lead you through it with instruction guides along the way
- WordPress – you can publish your page in an instant thanks to its native WordPress integration
- Drupal – if you work for a large-scale company that has Drupal, you can publish your Instapage-made page instantly when you connect it using the Drupal plug-in.
- Facebook – this option is useful if you expect most of your visitors to find your page via Facebook and you want to improve the user experience there
- Demo page – this is a quick and easy option for publishing your landing page if you don’t own a website domain; instead, you’ll be provided a subdomain from Instapage itself.
Additionally, you may opt to download your page for you to edit and modify for future use and even export it to your co-workers or collaborators. If, for some reason, you’re not fully ready to publish it, you can always save its progress, and you can come back to it anytime.

Instapage’s Other Important Features
Instablocks and Global Blocks
You can add elements to create blocks within pages, but you also have the benefit of being able save it and reuse it whenever you need to make another page. You can also save your own blocks as Instablocks to cut down on the time it takes to build landing pages. These blocks can be used in future pages. To do this, simply right-click on the block you want to use again, then click “Save to My Blocks.” Autofitting Instapage
Global Blocks, on the other hand, work in the same way as Instablocks. The only difference is that they are specific to one page. At the same time, the latter looks consistent even across multiple pages that have it included. If you make changes to a Global Block on a page, they will reflect on any other blocks. This feature can be useful if you have a section of your website, such as a header or footer, that you want to be consistent across multiple pages. However, you can always disable it if you prefer.
Split Testing to Optimize Your Landing Page
A/B/n testing is a great way to optimize your page. Before you publish your page, ensure that it is appealing to the public. With the optimization experiments feature built into the Instapage Builder, you can easily determine which elements or blocks of the landing page should stay as is since most users are particularly drawn to it, as well as which parts need to be changed.
Split-testing multiple versions of a landing pages is possible with Instapage. Click on the “Traffic Split” button in the Builder to view the options. This allows you to compare and contrast different versions of the page to determine which one performs best. You can create multiple pages and choose the percentage of traffic that will be sent to each version. Instapage then shows you detailed analytic metrics, allowing you to see which version performs better. The winning page can be used as your final landing page layout. You can also continue testing with other variants to optimize it. This will ensure that your page provides the best visitor experience and increases conversion rates. Autofitting Instapage
Real-Time Collaboration Tools
One of the many nice aspects of Instapage is that you can conveniently collaborate with other people to create a more immersive experience. With the platform’s live collaboration, working in groups or as a team will be possible. As you turn on Comment mode, you and your teammates can leave comments on different parts of the page by simply clicking on any of the elements or blocks. This feature is helpful if you have any suggestions or requests for changes to the layout and design.
Instapage has also made it possible for you to share your page, even if it’s in progress, with your teammates through a private URL that you can copy and share in their group chat. You can invite them all with their email addresses. Your page can be accessed by other Instapage users. Those who don’t have an account can still view what you are working on.

Analytics in Instapage
Instapage shines best as both a landing page creator and a lead generation tool, so it’s for this reason that its analytics section perfectly reflects it. As one of the platform’s top-selling assets, real-time analytics gives you a full scope of how well your page is performing online, thanks to its detailed visuals and accurate numbers. This feature allows you to monitor and analyze their landing pages’ performance. This feature gives detailed information about metrics like page views, unique visitors and bounce rates. You can also integrate with third party analytics platforms to gain insight into user behavior and boost optimization of your page. This includes Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel and many others. Instapage Analytics allows users to analyze how landing pages perform and make data-driven choices about how to improve them.
Instapage Pricing: How Much Does It Cost?
Considering its wide and robust range of advanced-level tools and features, it’s no surprise that Instapage’s price range is more high-end than other landing page software. Its services were previously priced at $68, but now it costs just $199 per month. The pricing may be a lot to take in, especially for smaller businesses with limited budgets. Still, it’s worth noting that Instapage provides much more than any landing page editor can, including WordPress.
