Instapage is a popular landing page software that allows users to create and optimize landing pages for their websites. In this article, I’d like to share with you my comprehensive review of Instapage to determine if it is the best landing page builder on the market.

Instapage has been a great tool for me to create high-converting pages for both my business and others. Since I got the opportunity and enough money to move from a different page builder to here, I have grown to appreciate how much Instapage can offer. Of course, there are some benefits that I’ve enjoyed so far, but for every pro, there has to be a con somehow.

With that said, I’ll be taking a close look at the features offered by Instapage, as well as discussing the pricing plans offered by the platform and how to use it for the first time. By the end of this review, you’ll have a clearer picture of whether or not Instapage is the right choice for your business.

Instapage Landing Page Builder: A Overview Building First Website Using Instapage

Before we can get to the bottom, it is important that you understand what Instapage actually is as a platform. Instapage is a landing page builder designed to help you generate attractive, eye-catching, and overall high-quality landing pages. However, it’s not just any average landing page editor. Since a showcase of very powerful tools backs it, Instapage makes it easy to create high-converting landing pages quickly and efficiently.

With its drag-and-drop interface, Instapage lets you customize your pages without any semblance of coding knowledge. It also allows you to explore a wide range of ready-made templates for various industries or niches to get started immediately. Thanks to its dynamic customization and personalization capabilities, you can make your pages stand out from the competition with an extensive library of images, videos, building blocks, and other components.

Keeping up with the promise to deliver outstanding conversion rates and promising leads to your landing pages, Instapage provides advanced analytics tools to measure how well each page is performing. Additionally, to help you make the most of your landing pages, it allows you to connect with leading marketing, reporting, and testing platforms, making it highly possible to reach your goals quickly. Because of all these and more included in this online software, there’s no doubt that Instapage has become one of the most popular landing page builders on the market today.

Instapage is a tool to create a landing page

A landing page is essential for any business, especially one that is online-focused. Not only does it present how your business will appear to the general public, but it also serves as an ever-effective way of building a strong, dedicated consumer base.

While the idea of building a landing page sounds great, it does, however, come at a cost – and an expensive one, too. There are many factors that can affect the cost of creating a landing site, including the complexity of the design and the resources required to build it. However, it is more expensive to create and maintain a landing page that has many features. It doesn’t help, either, if you don’t have the skills or time to create one yourself and would rather rely on hiring a designer or agency to do it for you. Going that route would eventually cost you a few hundred to several thousand dollars more than your budget would allow.

So, if you want to create high-quality, high-converting landing pages – the same ones that any established web designer can do, yet need more money to splurge on one, Instapage could be your ideal solution. It offers a wide array of features and customization options, making it simple to design a page that looks great and functions perfectly.

Why Use Instapage?

Instapage is a powerful tool to create engaging landing pages that convert potential customers into customers. This platform offers many benefits beyond its customizable page-building tools. Here are some reasons why it is worth a try for any manager of any size business.

No Need to Learn How to Make Complicated Landing Pages

Instapage is an easy-to-use platform that allows users to quickly and easily create stunning pages without needing help from outside resources. You don’t need to be a web design expert just to build a fully-functioning page because all of its tools are ready for that purpose.

Made to Create Landing Pages and Landing Pages Only

Unlike other page builders, particularly the built-in WordPress page builder, Instapage comes with templates that are exclusively designed in the style of a landing page. Plus, you have many more options to choose from, so you will get everything!

More analytics-oriented page-building

With Instapage, you can optimize your landing page for conversions by testing different variations and tracking results. You can also maximize your reach with powerful analytics and optimization tools to track your page’s performance and identify areas for improvement.

You can create multiple landing pages with one account

If you happen to manage multiple websites, your single Instapage account is enough to create and host multiple landing pages for each site. This is a huge advantage over other website builders whose base plans allow you to manage only one per account.

Instapage Features: An in-depth review of its templates, editing, and more

As you sign in to Instapage for the first time, you’ll notice that it’s already packed with a hearty handful of features and tools needed to build beautiful landing pages. These are just a few of the many offerings offered by Instapage.

  • Easy-to-use page builder that uses drag-and-drop technology
  • The option to create mobile-friendly versions of landing pages
  • Highly-customizable templates
  • Easily resizable and modifiable blocks, forms, and other page elements
  • Unlimited access to high-quality stock images
  • Easy publishing and export to various platforms, including WordPress and your custom domain
  • Integrations with popular email marketing and digital marketing tools like MailChimp

As you can see, these are just some of the many features that you can expect from Instapage. I’ll show you the rest later on in the article, but for now, since we have a general idea of what it is, it would be nice if I take you through a hands-on look at what it’s like to use this landing page builder for the first time.

The first step that you’ll need to take is to sign up and create your account. You won’t be able to fully experience Instapage until you sign up. Once you log in, your dashboard will appear. This is where you can see a complete overview of the progress you are making. Since this is your first time, you won’t be able to see a lot on your dashboard. But that’s okay because you’re going to learn anyway how to build a landing page of your own. Let’s get started!

From scratch, you can build a landing page

Click on “Landing pages” in the left-side menu of your dashboard and then click “Create Page”. Once you hit the button, you’ll instantly be greeted by a vast collection of around 200 landing page templates, each of which you can use and customize however you like for whatever you want to promote.

If you are an experienced web designer, you will be able to create a blank page. We will build a landing page from scratch using templates that are already in use, as many people are reading this tutorial.

There are a lot of template options that you can choose from based on your planned campaign by selecting the use case filter. You may find a template that’s designed to convince users to download your app (App download), one geared toward signing people up for an upcoming event (Event registration), or one that’s made to simply thank them for purchasing your product/service (Thank you). No matter the use case, Instapage has a template all set for you to use.

Now, let’s say we’re building a landing page to launch a product. What should you do? To start, you can pick “Product launch” from the use case filter, then select one of the multiple themes that will come up in the search results. A page preview will be displayed to you as you select the landing page design you feel best fits your product. This is to give you a taste of your end product once it’s published to the public online.

It’s up to the user to decide if they will use it. If, for some reason, you don’t vibe with the layout, and you can always go back and skim through until you find the perfect fit. Otherwise, if you like it, then you can click “Use this layout.” Once you’ve chosen your landing page design, you’ll need to come up with a name as a way to keep things in order.

Customizing Your Landing Page

With your chosen page layout now ready to go, the next step is to customize it according to your liking. You’ll be immediately redirected to the Instapage page builder, which happens to be one of my all-time favorites coming from the platform (an opinion that, surprisingly, everyone agrees!). This stage allows you to enhance the visual appeal and engagement of your landing page. Instapage takes care of everything for you.

Within the Instapage Builder, you can very easily drag and drop elements within the page anywhere you want, unlike the WordPress version, where you could try to pull any element, only for it to be locked in a certain row/column and not move entirely. Instead, how it works can simply be compared to that of the Photoshop interface – you won’t ever see the elements you’re dragging get locked all of a sudden, so indeed, you have the freedom to move your mouse and drag-and-drop however you like.

While the ability to drag and drop may feel more Photoshop-like, the rest of the Builder’s interface should be in some ways familiar, especially to those who’ve used the WordPress editor in the past. You’ll find a full set of elements, widgets, and forms within your reach, and once you click on any of them, you can add as many tweaks as possible to make your landing page more presentable.

Adding Elements and Making Adjustments

The Instapage Builder experience, of course, wouldn’t be complete without the ability to add and rearrange a wide array of visual elements such as images, videos, and graphics, as well as headlines, text boxes, buttons, shapes, and even widgets. Interactive features such as surveys and text boxes can be added to your Instapage Builder account to capture user data while keeping them interested. You can also use fonts, colors, and other design elements to further enhance the look of your page. Building First Website Using Instapage

In Instapage terms, a set of elements grouped is called a block. You can add elements and make a few notable adjustments to a block. If you want, you can copy, duplicate, and even delete the block. This is just how to create a block. If you don’t have enough time or confidence in your page-building skills you can always use the Instapage Builder’s block templates.

Every time you build a landing page, you’ll notice that the preview appears designed for desktop use. Instapage makes it easy to create a mobile-friendly version. That’s because every single one of its templates is automatically optimized for mobile use. You can hide certain elements, or entire blocks, just like you could with the desktop version. This is useful for those who visit your landing page via their smartphones.

This life-saving feature will allow you to create two different pages without having to go too far. This is how you can make your landing page attractive and effective for marketing your products or service.

Publishing Your Landing Page

Now comes the crucial part. Once your page is ready and optimized, the next thing you must need to do is to publish it to make it live and accessible to your audience. Publishing a landing page is an important step in the process of creating success in whatever you’re promoting, whether it’s a product or a service. This will make sure that your landing page is visible to as many people as possible, and increase traffic to your website. Building First Website Using Instapage

Satisfied with your design and layout? Instapage can be integrated with any of these options:

  • Custom domain – you’ll need to connect it to your Instapage account first before you get it published to your domain – the process will be quite complex, but Instapage will lead you through it with instruction guides along the way
  • WordPress – You can publish your page instantly thanks to its native WordPress integration
  • Drupal – if you work for a large-scale company that has Drupal, you can publish your Instapage-made page instantly when you connect it using the Drupal plug-in.
  • Facebook – This option is helpful if most of your visitors will find your page via Facebook, and you wish to improve the user experience.
  • Demo page – this is a quick and easy option for publishing your landing page if you don’t own a website domain; instead, you’ll be provided a subdomain from Instapage itself.

Additionally, you may opt to download your page for you to edit and modify for future use and even export it to your co-workers or collaborators. If, for some reason, you’re not fully ready to publish it, you can always save its progress, and you can come back to it anytime.

Instapage’s Other Notable Features

Instablocks and Global Blocks

While you can add certain elements to create a block within a page, you get the added benefit of being able to save and reuse it whenever you want to create another page. To further cut the time spent on building landing pages in half, you can save the blocks you made yourself as Instablocks, which you can implement when you create other pages in future projects. Simply right-click the block you wish to reuse, and then click “Save To My Blocks”. Building First Website Using Instapage

Meanwhile, Global Blocks work similarly to Instablocks – the only difference between the two is that the design and layout of the former are specific to one page. The Global Blocks look consistent across all pages. If you make changes to a Global Block on a page, they will reflect on any other blocks. This feature can be useful if you have a section of your website, such as a header or footer, that you want to be consistent across multiple pages. You can disable this feature if you wish.

Split Testing to Optimize Your Landing Pages

A/B/n testing is a great way to optimize your page. Before you’re ready to publish, you need to ensure that whatever you’re making should attract the general public. The optimization experiments feature in the Instapage Builder allows you to easily identify which elements or blocks should remain as they are, since many people are drawn to them, and which parts must be modified.

Split-testing multiple versions of a landing pages is possible with Instapage. Click on the “Traffic Split” button in the Builder to view the options. This allows you to compare and contrast different versions of the page to determine which one performs best. You can create multiple pages and choose the percentage of traffic that will be sent to each version. Instapage will then show you detailed analytics to help you determine which version is performing best. You can use the winning page as your final landing page layout or continue testing it with different variants to optimize it, ensuring that your page delivers the best possible visitor experience and improves conversion rates. Real-Time Collaboration Tools

Instapage’s many benefits include the ability to collaborate with others and create an immersive experience. With the platform’s live collaboration, working in groups or as a team will be possible. As you turn on Comment mode, you and your teammates can leave comments on different parts of the page by simply clicking on any of the elements or blocks. This feature is helpful if you have any suggestions or requests for changes to the layout and design.

Instapage has also made it possible for you to share your page, even if it’s in progress, with your teammates through a private URL that you can copy and share in their group chat. You can invite them all with their email addresses. Your page can be accessed by other Instapage users. Those who don’t have an account can still view what you are working on.

Increased Conversions with Instapage AdMap

If you want to ensure the landing page for your product or service is sent to the right audience, the AdMap tool can help you achieve your desired results. The AdMap tool is designed to increase conversions and maximize return on investment. It allows you to create and track ads across multiple platforms, including Google search results.

AdMap allows you to customize your ads based on your audience’s interests and behaviors. It can help optimize customer journeys by identifying and eliminating roadblocks and pain points that prevent customers from converting. It also allows users to view how changes to ads or pages affect the performance of their campaigns. Instapage AdMap offers a simple interface and detailed analytics reports that will help anyone increase their conversion rate and ROI. You must take note, though, that you must have a Google Ads account to access this feature. Building First Website Using Instapage

Integration with Google Ads

Speaking of Google Ads, if you happen to use it frequently for digital marketing and business purposes, you can easily connect your landing page with your Google Ads account to maximize your reach to a much wider audience. You can easily track the progress of your campaign, how much you spent, and how popular your pages were for thousands of online users around the world by just a few clicks – all from your Instapage dashboard.

Heatmap Analytics Tool

As a means to better understand customer behavior on your page, Instapage’s native heatmap analytics feature lets you take an in-depth, real-time look at how your users interact with certain parts of your landing page, offering valuable insights into how customers use a website. This tool allows businesses to identify hotspots in their websites, such as pages visited the most or buttons clicked most frequently.

Heatmaps also help to highlight any usability issues customers may be experiencing, allowing businesses to make changes quickly and effectively. This can be used to track visitor journeys across multiple pages and devices, providing valuable information about how customers engage with content and websites and helping businesses grow and succeed in the long run. Analytics in Instapage

Instapage excels as both a landing-page creator and a lead generation tool. Its analytics section perfectly reflects this. Real-time analytics is one of Instapage’s most popular features. It provides a complete overview of how your page is performing online and includes detailed visuals as well as accurate numbers. It allows you to track and analyze the performance of their landing pages. The feature provides detailed information on metrics such as page views, unique visitors, bounce rates, and more. This information can then be used to optimize and improve the quality of landing pages and, in return, the overall standing of a business.

Instapage’s analytics tools include the Conversion Goals tool, which is built into the page builder. This allows you to create specific goals for your page and track them. You can also integrate with third party analytics platforms to gain insight into user behavior and boost optimization of your page. This includes Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel and many others. Instapage Analytics allows users to analyze how landing pages perform and make data-driven choices about how to improve them.

Instapage Pricing: What Does it Cost?

Considering its wide and robust range of advanced-level tools and features, it’s no surprise that Instapage’s price range is more high-end than other landing page software. Previously, the cost of its services started at $68, but today, it’s priced at as low as $199 every month. The pricing may be a lot to take in, especially for smaller businesses with limited budgets. Still, it’s worth noting that Instapage provides much more than any landing page editor can, including WordPress.

Here is a full list of the following plans that Instapage currently offers: Building First Website Using Instapage
