Instapage has been a great tool for me to create high-converting pages for both my business and others. Instapage Landing Page Builder: An Overview Example Of Dimension In Google Analytics
Before we can get to the bottom, it is important that you understand what Instapage actually is as a platform. Instapage is a landing page builder designed to help you generate attractive, eye-catching, and overall high-quality landing pages. It’s more than a landing page editor. Instapage is backed by a number of powerful tools that make it simple to quickly create high-converting landing page templates.
Instapage’s drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to customize your pages with no coding skills. It also allows you to explore a wide range of ready-made templates for various industries or niches to get started immediately. With its ability to customize and personalize dynamically, your pages will stand out among the rest with an extensive library that includes images, videos and building blocks.
Keeping up with the promise to deliver outstanding conversion rates and promising leads to your landing pages, Instapage provides advanced analytics tools to measure how well each page is performing. Additionally, to help you make the most of your landing pages, it allows you to connect with leading marketing, reporting, and testing platforms, making it highly possible to reach your goals quickly. Instapage is a popular online landing page builder because of these features and many more.
Using Instapage to Create a Landing Page
If you’re running a business for the first time, especially one that’s online-centric, you need to realize just how important a landing page is. Not only does it present how your business will appear to the general public, but it also serves as an ever-effective way of building a strong, dedicated consumer base.
Although the idea of creating a landing page sounds appealing, it comes at a significant cost. The overall cost of creating a landing page can depend on several factors, from the complexity of the design to the resources needed to build and maintain it. That said, if you want a feature-rich landing page with a more complex design, that would be too expensive to build and maintain. It doesn’t help, either, if you don’t have the skills or time to create one yourself and would rather rely on hiring a designer or agency to do it for you. You could end up spending several hundred to several thousand more on this route than you have budgeted.
So, if you want to create high-quality, high-converting landing pages – the same ones that any established web designer can do, yet need more money to splurge on one, Instapage could be your ideal solution. Instapage offers many customization options and features that make it easy to create pages that look great and work perfectly.
Instapage is a powerful tool to create engaging landing pages that convert potential customers into customers. Apart from its page-building customization tools, here are some of the go-to reasons why this platform is worth the try for anyone who manages any business, big or small.
No Need to Learn How to Make Complicated Landing Pages
Instapage is an intuitive platform that makes it easy to create beautiful pages quickly and without the need for outside help. You don’t need to be a web design expert just to build a fully-functioning page because all of its tools are ready for that purpose.
Made to create Landing Pages and landing pages only
Unlike other page builders, particularly the built-in WordPress page builder, Instapage comes with templates that are exclusively designed in the style of a landing page. Plus, you have many more options to choose from, so you will get everything!
More analytics-oriented page-building
Instapage allows you to optimize landing pages for conversions. You can test different versions and track the results. With powerful analytics and optimization tools, you can increase your reach and track the performance of your page to identify improvement areas.
You can create multiple landing pages with one account
Instapage accounts can be used to host multiple landing pages on multiple websites. This is a significant advantage over other website builders that allow you to manage one account per base plan.
Instapage Features: An in-depth review of its templates, editing, and more
As you sign in to Instapage for the first time, you’ll notice that it’s already packed with a hearty handful of features and tools needed to build beautiful landing pages. These are just a few of the many offerings offered by Instapage.
- A user-friendly page builder with a familiar drag-and-drop functionality
- You have the option to make mobile-friendly versions landing pages
- Highly-customizable templates
- Blocks, forms, and other elements that can be easily resized and modified to fit your needs.
- Unlimited access to high-quality stock images

- Integrations with popular digital marketing and email marketing tools such as MailChimp
As you can see, these are just some of the many features that you can expect from Instapage. The rest will be covered in the article. But for now, I thought it would be helpful to give you a first-hand look at how it feels to use Instapage’s landing page builder.
Sign up now to create an account. Just like every other landing page builder, you won’t fully get the Instapage experience until you register your account. Once you log in, your dashboard will appear. This is where you can see a complete overview of the progress you are making. You won’t see much on your dashboard because this is your first attempt. But that’s okay because you’re going to learn anyway how to build a landing page of your own. Let’s get started!
From scratch, you can build a landing page
To create a landing page, simply click on “Landing Pages” on the left-side menu from your dashboard, then “Create Page.” Once you hit the button, you’ll instantly be greeted by a vast collection of around 200 landing page templates, each of which you can use and customize however you like for whatever you want to promote.
You’ll also be given the option to start with a blank page without any template or design (Blank Page), but that’s up to you if you think you have experience in building websites. However, since many of you are reading this and will use it for the first time, we’ll construct a full landing page using existing page templates for the sake of this tutorial.
You have many options to choose from depending on the purpose of your campaign. Select the Use case filter to see a list of available templates. There are many templates that you can choose from. One template is designed to encourage users to download your app (App Download), another one to sign people up for an event (Event registration) or one to thank them for buying your product/service. Instapage has a template for every use case.
Now, let’s say we’re building a landing page to launch a product. What should you do? You can start by selecting “Product Launch” from the filter. Next, choose one of the themes that will appear in the search results. A page preview will be displayed to you as you select the landing page design you feel best fits your product. This preview will give you an idea of the final product when it is made available to the public.
It’s up to the user to decide if they will use it. You can always go back to the beginning and look at the layout until you find it perfect. If you love it, you can click “Use that layout.” Once you’ve chosen your landing page design, you’ll need to come up with a name as a way to keep things in order.
Customizing Your Landing Page
With your chosen page layout now ready to go, the next step is to customize it according to your liking. The Instapage page creator will redirect you immediately. This is a feature that I love and everyone seems to agree with. This stage allows you to enhance the visual appeal and engagement of your landing page. Instapage takes care of everything for you.
Instapage Builder allows you to drag and drop elements anywhere on the page. This is in contrast to WordPress, which may allow you to try pulling any element but it will be locked in a row or column and cannot move at all. It works in a similar way to the Photoshop interface. You won’t see any elements you drag get locked, so you can move your mouse around and drag-and drop as you please.
While the ability to drag and drop may feel more Photoshop-like, the rest of the Builder’s interface should be in some ways familiar, especially to those who’ve used the WordPress editor in the past. You’ll find a full set of elements, widgets, and forms within your reach, and once you click on any of them, you can add as many tweaks as possible to make your landing page more presentable.
Adding Elements and Making Modifications
You can add and rearrange visual elements to your Instapage Builder experience. Additionally, you can add interactive features like surveys and text box forms to help capture user data easily while keeping them engaged. You can also use fonts, colors, and other design elements to further enhance the look of your page. Example Of Dimension In Google Analytics
In Instapage terms, a set of elements grouped is called a block. You can add elements and make a few notable adjustments to a block. You can also copy, duplicate, or even delete it if you wish. And that’s just for creating a full block – if you don’t have ample time to deal with it or are not confident enough with your page-building skills, you can always look at the Instapage Builder’s selection of block templates, each ready-to-use.
You’ll notice the preview for a landing page you create is designed for desktop. If you want to create a mobile-friendly version of your page here in Instapage, you won’t have to worry about starting again from scratch. That’s because every single one of its templates is automatically optimized for mobile use. Just like with editing the desktop version, you can conceal certain elements or even whole blocks from those who will go to your landing page using their smartphones.
This life-saving feature will allow you to create two different pages without having to go too far. This is how you can make your landing page attractive and effective for marketing your products or service.
Publishing Your Landing Page
This is the most important part. Once your page is ready and optimized, the next thing you must need to do is to publish it to make it live and accessible to your audience. Publishing a landing page is an important step in the process of creating success in whatever you’re promoting, whether it’s a product or a service. This will ensure that your page is seen by as many people as possible and help you to increase traffic to your site. Example Of Dimension In Google Analytics
Satisfied with your design and layout? You can integrate Instapage with any of the following options:
- Custom domain – you’ll need to connect it to your Instapage account first before you get it published to your domain – the process will be quite complex, but Instapage will lead you through it with instruction guides along the way
- WordPress – you can publish your page in an instant thanks to its native WordPress integration
- Drupal – If you are a large-scale Drupal user, your Instapage-made page can be published instantly by connecting it with the Drupal plug-in.
- Facebook – This option is helpful if most of your visitors will find your page via Facebook, and you wish to improve the user experience.
- Demo page – this is a quick and easy option for publishing your landing page if you don’t own a website domain; instead, you’ll be provided a subdomain from Instapage itself.
You can also download your page to be edited and modified for future use, or export it to co-workers and collaborators. You can save your page progress and come back anytime if you aren’t ready to publish it.
Instapage’s Other Important Features
Instablocks and Global Blocks
While you can add certain elements to create a block within a page, you get the added benefit of being able to save and reuse it whenever you want to create another page. You can also save your own blocks as Instablocks to cut down on the time it takes to build landing pages. These blocks can be used in future pages. Simply right-click the block you wish to reuse, and then click “Save To My Blocks”. Example Of Dimension In Google Analytics
Global Blocks, on the other hand, work in the same way as Instablocks. The only difference is that they are specific to one page. At the same time, the latter looks consistent even across multiple pages that have it included. This means if you edit a Global Block on one page, all the changes will be reflected on the same block built into other pages. This feature can be useful if you have a section of your website, such as a header or footer, that you want to be consistent across multiple pages. You can disable this feature if you wish.
Split Testing to Optimize Your Landing Page
Optimizing your webpage with A/B/n testing can be a great way to improve it. Before you publish your page, ensure that it is appealing to the public. The optimization experiments feature in the Instapage Builder allows you to easily identify which elements or blocks should remain as they are, since many people are drawn to them, and which parts must be modified.
Split-testing multiple versions of a landing pages is possible with Instapage. Click on the “Traffic Split” button in the Builder to view the options. This allows you to compare and contrast different versions of the page to determine which one performs best. You can create multiple versions of your page and decide the percentage of traffic to be sent to each variation. Instapage will then show you detailed analytics to help you determine which version is performing best. The winning page can be used as your final landing page layout. You can also continue testing with other variants to optimize it. This will ensure that your page provides the best visitor experience and increases conversion rates. Real-Time Collaboration Tools
Instapage’s many benefits include the ability to collaborate with others and create an immersive experience. With the platform’s live collaboration, working in groups or as a team will be possible. As you turn on Comment mode, you and your teammates can leave comments on different parts of the page by simply clicking on any of the elements or blocks. This feature is helpful if you have any suggestions or requests for changes to the layout and design.
Instapage has also made it possible for you to share your page, even if it’s in progress, with your teammates through a private URL that you can copy and share in their group chat. You can invite them all with their email addresses. Not only can your page be accessed by fellow Instapage users – those who don’t have one can also take a look at what you’re working on.
Increased Conversions with Instapage AdMap
If you want to ensure the landing page for your product or service is sent to the right audience, the AdMap tool can help you achieve your desired results. The AdMap tool is designed to increase conversions and maximize return on investment. It allows you to create and track ads across multiple platforms, including Google search results.
AdMap allows you to customize your ads based on your audience’s interests and behaviors. It can be used to optimize the customer’s journey by identifying and removing the pain points and roadblocks to conversion. It also allows users to view how changes to ads or pages affect the performance of their campaigns. With its easy-to-use interface and detailed analytics reports, Instapage AdMap is the perfect solution for anyone who wants to increase their ROI and conversion rate. You must take note, though, that you must have a Google Ads account to access this feature. Example Of Dimension In Google Analytics
Integration with Google Ads
Speaking of Google Ads, if you happen to use it frequently for digital marketing and business purposes, you can easily connect your landing page with your Google Ads account to maximize your reach to a much wider audience. With only a few clicks away, you can review and keep track of your campaign’s progress, how much you’ve spent, and even how well-received your pages are for countless online users worldwide – all while you’re in your Instapage dashboard.
Heatmap Analytics Tool
Instapage’s native heatmap analytics allows you to see how users interact with your landing pages. This will allow you to gain valuable insight into customers’ use of a website. With this tool, businesses can easily identify hotspots on their sites, such as pages that are visited most often or buttons that are clicked most frequently.
Heatmaps can also be used to identify usability issues that customers might have, which allows businesses to quickly and effectively make improvements. This is useful for tracking visitor journeys across multiple pages or devices. It provides valuable information about customers’ interactions with websites and content, which can help businesses grow and succeed. Example Of Dimension In Google Analytics
Analytics in Instapage
Instapage excels as both a landing-page creator and a lead generation tool. Its analytics section perfectly reflects this. As one of the platform’s top-selling assets, real-time analytics gives you a full scope of how well your page is performing online, thanks to its detailed visuals and accurate numbers. This feature allows you to monitor and analyze their landing pages’ performance. This feature gives detailed information about metrics like page views, unique visitors and bounce rates. This data can be used to improve and optimize landing pages, and in turn, improve the business’ overall standing.
Instapage’s analytics tools include the Conversion Goals tool, which is built into the page builder. This allows you to create specific goals for your page and track them. Additionally, you can integrate with third-party analytics platforms to gain insights into user behavior and help boost the optimization of your page, such as Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and more. Instapage Analytics helps users understand how their landing pages perform and make data-driven decisions about how to improve them.
