Instapage Landing Page Builder: A Overview Instapage Pros And Cons
Before we get to the bottom of all of this, you must know first-hand what Instapage really is as a platform. Instapage is a landing page builder designed to help you generate attractive, eye-catching, and overall high-quality landing pages. However, it’s not just any average landing page editor. Instapage is backed by a number of powerful tools that make it simple to quickly create high-converting landing page templates.
Instapage’s drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to customize your pages with no coding skills. It also allows you to explore a wide range of ready-made templates for various industries or niches to get started immediately. Thanks to its dynamic customization and personalization capabilities, you can make your pages stand out from the competition with an extensive library of images, videos, building blocks, and other components.
Instapage offers advanced analytics tools that allow you to monitor how each page performs, in keeping with its promise of delivering outstanding conversion rates and promising leads through your landing pages. Additionally, to help you make the most of your landing pages, it allows you to connect with leading marketing, reporting, and testing platforms, making it highly possible to reach your goals quickly. Instapage is a popular online landing page builder because of these features and many more.
Using Instapage to Create a Landing Page
If you’re running a business for the first time, especially one that’s online-centric, you need to realize just how important a landing page is. Not only does it present how your business will appear to the general public, but it also serves as an ever-effective way of building a strong, dedicated consumer base.
While the idea of building a landing page sounds great, it does, however, come at a cost – and an expensive one, too. There are many factors that can affect the cost of creating a landing site, including the complexity of the design and the resources required to build it. However, it is more expensive to create and maintain a landing page that has many features. If you don’t have the time or skills to make one, it’s better to hire a professional agency or designer to do it. Going that route would eventually cost you a few hundred to several thousand dollars more than your budget would allow.
Instapage is the perfect solution if you are looking to create high-quality and high-converting landing pages. It offers a wide array of features and customization options, making it simple to design a page that looks great and functions perfectly.

These are only a few of the many features you can expect from Instapage. The rest will be covered in the article. But for now, I thought it would be helpful to give you a first-hand look at how it feels to use Instapage’s landing page builder.
Sign up now to create an account. You won’t be able to fully experience Instapage until you sign up. As soon as you log in, you’ll first notice your dashboard, where you’ll find a full overview of how much progress you’ll be making. You won’t see much on your dashboard because this is your first attempt. It’s okay, you’ll learn how to create your own landing page. Let’s get started!
From scratch, you can build a landing page
To create a landing page, simply click on “Landing Pages” on the left-side menu from your dashboard, then “Create Page.” You’ll be presented with a wide selection of landing page templates that you can customize for your promotion.
You’ll also be given the option to start with a blank page without any template or design (Blank Page), but that’s up to you if you think you have experience in building websites. However, since many of you are reading this and will use it for the first time, we’ll construct a full landing page using existing page templates for the sake of this tutorial.
There are a lot of template options that you can choose from based on your planned campaign by selecting the use case filter. You may find a template that’s designed to convince users to download your app (App download), one geared toward signing people up for an upcoming event (Event registration), or one that’s made to simply thank them for purchasing your product/service (Thank you). No matter the use case, Instapage has a template all set for you to use.
Let’s suppose we are creating a landing page for launching a product. What should you do? To start, you can pick “Product launch” from the use case filter, then select one of the multiple themes that will come up in the search results. A page preview will be displayed to you as you select the landing page design you feel best fits your product. This preview will give you an idea of the final product when it is made available to the public.
Then, it’s up to you whether you’re going to use it or not. You can always go back to the beginning and look at the layout until you find it perfect. If you love it, you can click “Use that layout.” Once you’ve chosen your landing page design, you’ll need to come up with a name as a way to keep things in order.
Customizing Your Landing Page
With your chosen page layout now ready to go, the next step is to customize it according to your liking. You’ll be immediately redirected to the Instapage page builder, which happens to be one of my all-time favorites coming from the platform (an opinion that, surprisingly, everyone agrees!). In this stage, you have the opportunity to make your landing page more visually appealing and engaging. Instapage takes care of everything for you.
Instapage Builder allows you to drag and drop elements anywhere on the page. This is in contrast to WordPress, which may allow you to try pulling any element but it will be locked in a row or column and cannot move at all. It works in a similar way to the Photoshop interface. You won’t see any elements you drag get locked, so you can move your mouse around and drag-and drop as you please.
While the ability to drag and drop may feel more Photoshop-like, the rest of the Builder’s interface should be in some ways familiar, especially to those who’ve used the WordPress editor in the past. You’ll find a full set of elements, widgets, and forms within your reach, and once you click on any of them, you can add as many tweaks as possible to make your landing page more presentable.
Adding Elements and Making Modifications
The Instapage Builder experience, of course, wouldn’t be complete without the ability to add and rearrange a wide array of visual elements such as images, videos, and graphics, as well as headlines, text boxes, buttons, shapes, and even widgets. Interactive features such as surveys and text boxes can be added to your Instapage Builder account to capture user data while keeping them interested. You can also use fonts, colors, and other design elements to further enhance the look of your page. Instapage Pros And Cons
In Instapage terms, a set of elements grouped is called a block. A block can be modified with a few adjustments and elements. If you want, you can copy, duplicate, and even delete the block. And that’s just for creating a full block – if you don’t have ample time to deal with it or are not confident enough with your page-building skills, you can always look at the Instapage Builder’s selection of block templates, each ready-to-use.
You’ll notice the preview for a landing page you create is designed for desktop. If you want to create a mobile-friendly version of your page here in Instapage, you won’t have to worry about starting again from scratch. That’s because every single one of its templates is automatically optimized for mobile use. Just like with editing the desktop version, you can conceal certain elements or even whole blocks from those who will go to your landing page using their smartphones.
With this life-saving feature, you won’t need to go too far to the point where you’ll have two completely different page versions. Overall, by customizing your landing page this way, you can create an attractive and effective platform for marketing your products or services.
Publishing Your Landing Page
Now comes the crucial part. Now you need to publish your page to make it available to your audience. Publishing a landing page is an important step in the process of creating success in whatever you’re promoting, whether it’s a product or a service. This will ensure that your page is seen by as many people as possible and help you to increase traffic to your site. Instapage Pros And Cons
Satisfied with your design and layout? You can integrate Instapage with any of the following options:
- Custom domain – you’ll need to connect it to your Instapage account first before you get it published to your domain – the process will be quite complex, but Instapage will lead you through it with instruction guides along the way
- WordPress – You can publish your page instantly thanks to its native WordPress integration
- Drupal – if you work for a large-scale company that has Drupal, you can publish your Instapage-made page instantly when you connect it using the Drupal plug-in.
- Facebook – This option is helpful if most of your visitors will find your page via Facebook, and you wish to improve the user experience.
- Demo page – this is a quick and easy option for publishing your landing page if you don’t own a website domain; instead, you’ll be provided a subdomain from Instapage itself.
Additionally, you may opt to download your page for you to edit and modify for future use and even export it to your co-workers or collaborators. If, for some reason, you’re not fully ready to publish it, you can always save its progress, and you can come back to it anytime.

Instapage’s Other Notable Features
Instablocks & Global Blocks
You can add elements to create blocks within pages, but you also have the benefit of being able save it and reuse it whenever you need to make another page. To further cut the time spent on building landing pages in half, you can save the blocks you made yourself as Instablocks, which you can implement when you create other pages in future projects. Simply right-click the block you wish to reuse, and then click “Save To My Blocks”. Instapage Pros And Cons
Meanwhile, Global Blocks work similarly to Instablocks – the only difference between the two is that the design and layout of the former are specific to one page. At the same time, the latter looks consistent even across multiple pages that have it included. This means if you edit a Global Block on one page, all the changes will be reflected on the same block built into other pages. This feature can be useful if you have a section of your website, such as a header or footer, that you want to be consistent across multiple pages. However, you can always disable it if you prefer.
Split Testing to Optimize Your Landing Pages
Optimizing your webpage with A/B/n testing can be a great way to improve it. Before you’re ready to publish, you need to ensure that whatever you’re making should attract the general public. The optimization experiments feature in the Instapage Builder allows you to easily identify which elements or blocks should remain as they are, since many people are drawn to them, and which parts must be modified.
Split-testing multiple versions of a landing pages is possible with Instapage. Click on the “Traffic Split” button in the Builder to view the options. This allows you to compare and contrast different versions of the page to determine which one performs best. You can create multiple versions of your page and decide the percentage of traffic to be sent to each variation. Instapage will then show you detailed analytics to help you determine which version is performing best. You can use the winning page as your final landing page layout or continue testing it with different variants to optimize it, ensuring that your page delivers the best possible visitor experience and improves conversion rates. Instapage Pros And Cons
Real-Time Collaboration Tools
Instapage’s many benefits include the ability to collaborate with others and create an immersive experience. With the platform’s live collaboration, working in groups or as a team will be possible. You can add comments to different pages by clicking on the blocks or elements. This feature is helpful if you have any suggestions or requests for changes to the layout and design.
Instapage also allows you to share your page with your team members, even if it is still in progress. This URL can be copied and shared in the group chat. You can invite them all with their email addresses. Not only can your page be accessed by fellow Instapage users – those who don’t have one can also take a look at what you’re working on.
Increased Conversions with Instapage AdMap
If you want to ensure the landing page for your product or service is sent to the right audience, the AdMap tool can help you achieve your desired results. It’s designed to help increase your conversions and maximize your return on investment by creating and tracking ads across multiple platforms, particularly Google search results and social media sites.

It also allows users to view how changes to ads or pages affect the performance of their campaigns. With its easy-to-use interface and detailed analytics reports, Instapage AdMap is the perfect solution for anyone who wants to increase their ROI and conversion rate. You must take note, though, that you must have a Google Ads account to access this feature. Instapage Pros And Cons

You can easily track the progress of your campaign, how much you spent, and how popular your pages were for thousands of online users around the world by just a few clicks – all from your Instapage dashboard.

This tool allows businesses to identify hotspots in their websites, such as pages visited the most or buttons clicked most frequently.
Heatmaps also help to highlight any usability issues customers may be experiencing, allowing businesses to make changes quickly and effectively. Analytics in Instapage
Instapage excels as both a landing-page creator and a lead generation tool. Its analytics section perfectly reflects this. Real-time analytics is one of Instapage’s most popular features. It provides a complete overview of how your page is performing online and includes detailed visuals as well as accurate numbers. It allows you to track and analyze the performance of their landing pages. The feature provides detailed information on metrics such as page views, unique visitors, bounce rates, and more. Instapage Analytics helps users understand how their landing pages perform and make data-driven decisions about how to improve them.
