Instapage Landing Page Builder: An Overview Instapage Vs Webflow
Before we can get to the bottom, it is important that you understand what Instapage actually is as a platform. Instapage is a landing page builder designed to help you generate attractive, eye-catching, and overall high-quality landing pages. It’s more than a landing page editor. Since a showcase of very powerful tools backs it, Instapage makes it easy to create high-converting landing pages quickly and efficiently.
With its drag-and-drop interface, Instapage lets you customize your pages without any semblance of coding knowledge. It also allows you to explore a wide range of ready-made templates for various industries or niches to get started immediately. With its ability to customize and personalize dynamically, your pages will stand out among the rest with an extensive library that includes images, videos and building blocks.
Instapage offers advanced analytics tools that allow you to monitor how each page performs, in keeping with its promise of delivering outstanding conversion rates and promising leads through your landing pages. Additionally, to help you make the most of your landing pages, it allows you to connect with leading marketing, reporting, and testing platforms, making it highly possible to reach your goals quickly. Because of all these and more included in this online software, there’s no doubt that Instapage has become one of the most popular landing page builders on the market today.
Using Instapage to Create a Landing Page
A landing page is essential for any business, especially one that is online-focused. It not only shows how your business will look to the public but also provides a way for you to build a loyal customer base.
While the idea of building a landing page sounds great, it does, however, come at a cost – and an expensive one, too. There are many factors that can affect the cost of creating a landing site, including the complexity of the design and the resources required to build it. However, it is more expensive to create and maintain a landing page that has many features. If you don’t have the time or skills to make one, it’s better to hire a professional agency or designer to do it. Going that route would eventually cost you a few hundred to several thousand dollars more than your budget would allow.
Instapage is the perfect solution if you are looking to create high-quality and high-converting landing pages. Instapage offers many customization options and features that make it easy to create pages that look great and work perfectly.

As you can see, these are just some of the many features that you can expect from Instapage. The rest will be covered in the article. But for now, I thought it would be helpful to give you a first-hand look at how it feels to use Instapage’s landing page builder.
The first step that you’ll need to take is to sign up and create your account. Just like every other landing page builder, you won’t fully get the Instapage experience until you register your account. Once you log in, your dashboard will appear. This is where you can see a complete overview of the progress you are making. You won’t see much on your dashboard because this is your first attempt. It’s okay, you’ll learn how to create your own landing page. Let’s get started!
Building a Landing Page from Scratch
Click on “Landing pages” in the left-side menu of your dashboard and then click “Create Page”. You’ll be presented with a wide selection of landing page templates that you can customize for your promotion.
If you are an experienced web designer, you will be able to create a blank page. However, since many of you are reading this and will use it for the first time, we’ll construct a full landing page using existing page templates for the sake of this tutorial.
You have many options to choose from depending on the purpose of your campaign. Select the Use case filter to see a list of available templates. There are many templates that you can choose from. One template is designed to encourage users to download your app (App Download), another one to sign people up for an event (Event registration) or one to thank them for buying your product/service. Instapage has a template for every use case.
Let’s suppose we are creating a landing page for launching a product. What are you going to do in this situation? You can start by selecting “Product Launch” from the filter. Next, choose one of the themes that will appear in the search results. As you pick the landing page design that you think looks good for what you’re aiming to promote, you’ll be welcomed by a quick page preview. This preview will give you an idea of the final product when it is made available to the public.
Then, it’s up to you whether you’re going to use it or not. You can always go back to the beginning and look at the layout until you find it perfect. If you love it, you can click “Use that layout.” Once you’ve chosen your landing page design, you’ll need to come up with a name as a way to keep things in order.
Customizing Your Landing Page
Now that you have your page layout, it is time to personalize it to your liking. You’ll be immediately redirected to the Instapage page builder, which happens to be one of my all-time favorites coming from the platform (an opinion that, surprisingly, everyone agrees!). This stage allows you to enhance the visual appeal and engagement of your landing page. Instapage takes care of everything for you.
Within the Instapage Builder, you can very easily drag and drop elements within the page anywhere you want, unlike the WordPress version, where you could try to pull any element, only for it to be locked in a certain row/column and not move entirely. Instead, how it works can simply be compared to that of the Photoshop interface – you won’t ever see the elements you’re dragging get locked all of a sudden, so indeed, you have the freedom to move your mouse and drag-and-drop however you like.
Although drag-and-drop may seem more Photoshop-like than the rest of Builder’s interface, it should still feel familiar to anyone who has used the WordPress editor before. There are many elements, widgets and forms available to you. Once you click on one of them, you can make any changes you want to your landing page.
Adding Elements and Making Modifications
You can add and rearrange visual elements to your Instapage Builder experience. Interactive features such as surveys and text boxes can be added to your Instapage Builder account to capture user data while keeping them interested. You can also use fonts, colors, and other design elements to further enhance the look of your page. Instapage Vs Webflow
In Instapage terms, a set of elements grouped is called a block. You can add elements and make a few notable adjustments to a block. If you want, you can copy, duplicate, and even delete the block. This is just how to create a block. If you don’t have enough time or confidence in your page-building skills you can always use the Instapage Builder’s block templates.
Every time you build a landing page, you’ll notice that the preview appears designed for desktop use. Instapage makes it easy to create a mobile-friendly version. That’s because every single one of its templates is automatically optimized for mobile use. Just like with editing the desktop version, you can conceal certain elements or even whole blocks from those who will go to your landing page using their smartphones.
This life-saving feature will allow you to create two different pages without having to go too far. Overall, by customizing your landing page this way, you can create an attractive and effective platform for marketing your products or services.
Publishing Your Landing Page
Now comes the crucial part. Once your page is ready and optimized, the next thing you must need to do is to publish it to make it live and accessible to your audience. A landing page is essential to promoting a product or service. This will ensure that your page is seen by as many people as possible and help you to increase traffic to your site. Instapage Vs Webflow
Satisfied with your design and layout? You can integrate Instapage with any of the following options:
- Custom domain – you’ll need to connect it to your Instapage account first before you get it published to your domain – the process will be quite complex, but Instapage will lead you through it with instruction guides along the way
- WordPress – you can publish your page in an instant thanks to its native WordPress integration
- Drupal – If you are a large-scale Drupal user, your Instapage-made page can be published instantly by connecting it with the Drupal plug-in.
- Facebook – This option is helpful if most of your visitors will find your page via Facebook, and you wish to improve the user experience.
- Demo page – this is a quick and easy option for publishing your landing page if you don’t own a website domain; instead, you’ll be provided a subdomain from Instapage itself.
Additionally, you may opt to download your page for you to edit and modify for future use and even export it to your co-workers or collaborators. You can save your page progress and come back anytime if you aren’t ready to publish it.

Instapage’s Other Important Features
Instablocks and Global Blocks
While you can add certain elements to create a block within a page, you get the added benefit of being able to save and reuse it whenever you want to create another page. To further cut the time spent on building landing pages in half, you can save the blocks you made yourself as Instablocks, which you can implement when you create other pages in future projects. Simply right-click the block you wish to reuse, and then click “Save To My Blocks”. Instapage Vs Webflow
Global Blocks, on the other hand, work in the same way as Instablocks. The only difference is that they are specific to one page. At the same time, the latter looks consistent even across multiple pages that have it included. This means if you edit a Global Block on one page, all the changes will be reflected on the same block built into other pages. This feature can be useful if you have a section of your website, such as a header or footer, that you want to be consistent across multiple pages. However, you can always disable it if you prefer.
Split Testing to Optimize Your Landing Pages
Optimizing your webpage with A/B/n testing can be a great way to improve it. Before you’re ready to publish, you need to ensure that whatever you’re making should attract the general public. With the optimization experiments feature built into the Instapage Builder, you can easily determine which elements or blocks of the landing page should stay as is since most users are particularly drawn to it, as well as which parts need to be changed.
Split-testing multiple versions of a landing pages is possible with Instapage. Click on the “Traffic Split” button in the Builder to view the options. This allows you to compare and contrast different versions of the page to determine which one performs best. You can create multiple pages and choose the percentage of traffic that will be sent to each version. Instapage then shows you detailed analytic metrics, allowing you to see which version performs better. The winning page can be used as your final landing page layout. You can also continue testing with other variants to optimize it. This will ensure that your page provides the best visitor experience and increases conversion rates. Instapage Vs Webflow
Real-Time Collaboration Tools
One of the many nice aspects of Instapage is that you can conveniently collaborate with other people to create a more immersive experience. If you work in a group or team, you’ll be able to do exactly that with the platform’s real-time collaboration features. As you turn on Comment mode, you and your teammates can leave comments on different parts of the page by simply clicking on any of the elements or blocks. This feature is helpful if you have any suggestions or requests for changes to the layout and design.
Instapage has also made it possible for you to share your page, even if it’s in progress, with your teammates through a private URL that you can copy and share in their group chat. You may opt to invite any of them with their email addresses as well. Your page can be accessed by other Instapage users. Those who don’t have an account can still view what you are working on.
Increased Conversions with Instapage AdMap
If you want to ensure the landing page for your product or service is sent to the right audience, the AdMap tool can help you achieve your desired results. It’s designed to help increase your conversions and maximize your return on investment by creating and tracking ads across multiple platforms, particularly Google search results and social media sites.
AdMap lets you customize your ads according to your audience’s preferences and behavior. It can be used to optimize the customer’s journey by identifying and removing the pain points and roadblocks to conversion. It can also help users to see how changes to an ad or page affect the overall performance of their campaign. Instapage AdMap offers a simple interface and detailed analytics reports that will help anyone increase their conversion rate and ROI. You must take note, though, that you must have a Google Ads account to access this feature. Instapage Vs Webflow
Integration with Google Ads
Speaking of Google Ads, if you happen to use it frequently for digital marketing and business purposes, you can easily connect your landing page with your Google Ads account to maximize your reach to a much wider audience. With only a few clicks away, you can review and keep track of your campaign’s progress, how much you’ve spent, and even how well-received your pages are for countless online users worldwide – all while you’re in your Instapage dashboard.
Heatmap Analytics Tool
As a means to better understand customer behavior on your page, Instapage’s native heatmap analytics feature lets you take an in-depth, real-time look at how your users interact with certain parts of your landing page, offering valuable insights into how customers use a website. With this tool, businesses can easily identify hotspots on their sites, such as pages that are visited most often or buttons that are clicked most frequently.
Heatmaps can also be used to identify usability issues that customers might have, which allows businesses to quickly and effectively make improvements. This can be used to track visitor journeys across multiple pages and devices, providing valuable information about how customers engage with content and websites and helping businesses grow and succeed in the long run.
