Just like every other landing page builder, you won’t fully get the Instapage experience until you register your account. Once you log in, your dashboard will appear. This is where you can see a complete overview of the progress you are making. You won’t see much on your dashboard because this is your first attempt. It’s okay, you’ll learn how to create your own landing page. Let’s get started!
From scratch, you can build a landing page
Click on “Landing pages” in the left-side menu of your dashboard and then click “Create Page”. Once you hit the button, you’ll instantly be greeted by a vast collection of around 200 landing page templates, each of which you can use and customize however you like for whatever you want to promote.
If you are an experienced web designer, you will be able to create a blank page. We will build a landing page from scratch using templates that are already in use, as many people are reading this tutorial.
There are a lot of template options that you can choose from based on your planned campaign by selecting the use case filter. There are many templates that you can choose from. One template is designed to encourage users to download your app (App Download), another one to sign people up for an event (Event registration) or one to thank them for buying your product/service. No matter the use case, Instapage has a template all set for you to use.
Now, let’s say we’re building a landing page to launch a product. What should you do? You can start by selecting “Product Launch” from the filter. Next, choose one of the themes that will appear in the search results. As you pick the landing page design that you think looks good for what you’re aiming to promote, you’ll be welcomed by a quick page preview. This preview will give you an idea of the final product when it is made available to the public.
Then, it’s up to you whether you’re going to use it or not. You can always go back to the beginning and look at the layout until you find it perfect. If you love it, you can click “Use that layout.” After you have chosen the landing page design you will need to give it a name to help keep things organized.

With your chosen page layout now ready to go, the next step is to customize it according to your liking. You’ll be immediately redirected to the Instapage page builder, which happens to be one of my all-time favorites coming from the platform (an opinion that, surprisingly, everyone agrees!). Although drag-and-drop may seem more Photoshop-like than the rest of Builder’s interface, it should still feel familiar to anyone who has used the WordPress editor before. You’ll find a full set of elements, widgets, and forms within your reach, and once you click on any of them, you can add as many tweaks as possible to make your landing page more presentable.

Instapage’s Other Important Features
Instablocks and Global Blocks
You can add elements to create blocks within pages, but you also have the benefit of being able save it and reuse it whenever you need to make another page. To further cut the time spent on building landing pages in half, you can save the blocks you made yourself as Instablocks, which you can implement when you create other pages in future projects. Global Blocks, on the other hand, work in the same way as Instablocks. The only difference is that they are specific to one page. At the same time, the latter looks consistent even across multiple pages that have it included. This means if you edit a Global Block on one page, all the changes will be reflected on the same block built into other pages. This feature can be useful if you have a section of your website, such as a header or footer, that you want to be consistent across multiple pages. You can disable this feature if you wish.
