Instapage is a popular landing page software that allows users to create and optimize landing pages for their websites. In this review, I will share my extensive Instapage review to help you decide if it’s the best.

I’ve been using Instapage for quite some time to make high-converting pages for my and other businesses. Since I got the opportunity and enough money to move from a different page builder to here, I have grown to appreciate how much Instapage can offer. Of course, there are some benefits that I’ve enjoyed so far, but for every pro, there has to be a con somehow.

With that in mind, I will be reviewing the features of Instapage and also discussing the pricing plans available to the platform as well as how to use it. By the end of this review, you’ll have a clearer picture of whether or not Instapage is the right choice for your business.

Instapage Landing Page Builder: An Overview Landing Page Optimization Checklist

Before we can get to the bottom, it is important that you understand what Instapage actually is as a platform. Instapage is a landing page builder designed to help you generate attractive, eye-catching, and overall high-quality landing pages. It’s more than a landing page editor. Instapage is backed by a number of powerful tools that make it simple to quickly create high-converting landing page templates.

Instapage’s drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to customize your pages with no coding skills. You can also explore ready-made templates that are suitable for different industries and niches. Thanks to its dynamic customization and personalization capabilities, you can make your pages stand out from the competition with an extensive library of images, videos, building blocks, and other components.

Instapage offers advanced analytics tools that allow you to monitor how each page performs, in keeping with its promise of delivering outstanding conversion rates and promising leads through your landing pages. Additionally, to help you make the most of your landing pages, it allows you to connect with leading marketing, reporting, and testing platforms, making it highly possible to reach your goals quickly. Instapage is a popular online landing page builder because of these features and many more.

Instapage is a tool to create a landing page

If you’re running a business for the first time, especially one that’s online-centric, you need to realize just how important a landing page is. Not only does it present how your business will appear to the general public, but it also serves as an ever-effective way of building a strong, dedicated consumer base.

Although the idea of creating a landing page sounds appealing, it comes at a significant cost. The overall cost of creating a landing page can depend on several factors, from the complexity of the design to the resources needed to build and maintain it. That said, if you want a feature-rich landing page with a more complex design, that would be too expensive to build and maintain. If you don’t have the time or skills to make one, it’s better to hire a professional agency or designer to do it. You could end up spending several hundred to several thousand more on this route than you have budgeted.

So, if you want to create high-quality, high-converting landing pages – the same ones that any established web designer can do, yet need more money to splurge on one, Instapage could be your ideal solution. It offers a wide array of features and customization options, making it simple to design a page that looks great and functions perfectly.

Instapage: Why?

Instapage is an effective tool for creating engaging, user-friendly landing pages that drive potential users into bona fide customers and increase revenue. This platform offers many benefits beyond its customizable page-building tools. Here are some reasons why it is worth a try for any manager of any size business.

No Need to Learn How to Make Complicated Landing Pages

Instapage is an intuitive platform that makes it easy to create beautiful pages quickly and without the need for outside help. You don’t need to be a web design expert just to build a fully-functioning page because all of its tools are ready for that purpose.

Made to Create Landing Pages and Landing Pages Only

Unlike other page builders, particularly the built-in WordPress page builder, Instapage comes with templates that are exclusively designed in the style of a landing page. Plus, you have many more options to choose from, so you will get everything!

More Analytics-focused Page-building

With Instapage, you can optimize your landing page for conversions by testing different variations and tracking results. You can also maximize your reach with powerful analytics and optimization tools to track your page’s performance and identify areas for improvement.

Build Multiple Landing Pages with One Account

Instapage accounts can be used to host multiple landing pages on multiple websites. This is a huge advantage over other website builders whose base plans allow you to manage only one per account.

Instapage Features: An in-depth review of its templates, editing, and more

Signing in to Instapage will be your first step. It already has a lot of tools and features that you need to create beautiful landing pages. Here are just some of the offerings this platform has to bring:

  • Easy-to-use page builder that uses drag-and-drop technology
  • The option to create mobile-friendly versions of landing pages
  • Highly-customizable templates
  • Blocks, forms, and other elements that can be easily resized and modified to fit your needs.
  • Unlimited access to high-quality stock images
  • Export to WordPress or your custom domain for easy publishing and export
  • Integrations with popular digital marketing and email marketing tools such as MailChimp

As you can see, these are just some of the many features that you can expect from Instapage. I’ll show you the rest later on in the article, but for now, since we have a general idea of what it is, it would be nice if I take you through a hands-on look at what it’s like to use this landing page builder for the first time.

The first step that you’ll need to take is to sign up and create your account. Just like every other landing page builder, you won’t fully get the Instapage experience until you register your account. As soon as you log in, you’ll first notice your dashboard, where you’ll find a full overview of how much progress you’ll be making. Since this is your first time, you won’t be able to see a lot on your dashboard. It’s okay, you’ll learn how to create your own landing page. Let’s get started!

From scratch, you can build a landing page

To create a landing page, simply click on “Landing Pages” on the left-side menu from your dashboard, then “Create Page.” You’ll be presented with a wide selection of landing page templates that you can customize for your promotion.

You’ll also be given the option to start with a blank page without any template or design (Blank Page), but that’s up to you if you think you have experience in building websites. However, since many of you are reading this and will use it for the first time, we’ll construct a full landing page using existing page templates for the sake of this tutorial.

There are a lot of template options that you can choose from based on your planned campaign by selecting the use case filter. You may find a template that’s designed to convince users to download your app (App download), one geared toward signing people up for an upcoming event (Event registration), or one that’s made to simply thank them for purchasing your product/service (Thank you). No matter the use case, Instapage has a template all set for you to use.

Let’s suppose we are creating a landing page for launching a product. What should you do? To start, you can pick “Product launch” from the use case filter, then select one of the multiple themes that will come up in the search results. As you pick the landing page design that you think looks good for what you’re aiming to promote, you’ll be welcomed by a quick page preview. This preview will give you an idea of the final product when it is made available to the public.

It’s up to the user to decide if they will use it. If, for some reason, you don’t vibe with the layout, and you can always go back and skim through until you find the perfect fit. Otherwise, if you like it, then you can click “Use this layout.” Once you’ve chosen your landing page design, you’ll need to come up with a name as a way to keep things in order.

Customizing Your Landing Page

Now that you have your page layout, it is time to personalize it to your liking. You’ll be immediately redirected to the Instapage page builder, which happens to be one of my all-time favorites coming from the platform (an opinion that, surprisingly, everyone agrees!). In this stage, you have the opportunity to make your landing page more visually appealing and engaging. The best part of it all is that you don’t need to do any of the work since Instapage does it for you.

Instapage Builder allows you to drag and drop elements anywhere on the page. This is in contrast to WordPress, which may allow you to try pulling any element but it will be locked in a row or column and cannot move at all. It works in a similar way to the Photoshop interface. You won’t see any elements you drag get locked, so you can move your mouse around and drag-and drop as you please.

Although drag-and-drop may seem more Photoshop-like than the rest of Builder’s interface, it should still feel familiar to anyone who has used the WordPress editor before. You’ll find a full set of elements, widgets, and forms within your reach, and once you click on any of them, you can add as many tweaks as possible to make your landing page more presentable.

Adding Elements and Making Modifications

The Instapage Builder experience, of course, wouldn’t be complete without the ability to add and rearrange a wide array of visual elements such as images, videos, and graphics, as well as headlines, text boxes, buttons, shapes, and even widgets. Additionally, you can add interactive features like surveys and text box forms to help capture user data easily while keeping them engaged. You can also use fonts, colors, and other design elements to further enhance the look of your page. Landing Page Optimization Checklist

Instapage terminology refers to a group of elements that are grouped together as a block. A block can be modified with a few adjustments and elements. You can also copy, duplicate, or even delete it if you wish. And that’s just for creating a full block – if you don’t have ample time to deal with it or are not confident enough with your page-building skills, you can always look at the Instapage Builder’s selection of block templates, each ready-to-use.

You’ll notice the preview for a landing page you create is designed for desktop. If you want to create a mobile-friendly version of your page here in Instapage, you won’t have to worry about starting again from scratch. Every template is optimized for mobile use. Just like with editing the desktop version, you can conceal certain elements or even whole blocks from those who will go to your landing page using their smartphones.

This life-saving feature will allow you to create two different pages without having to go too far. This is how you can make your landing page attractive and effective for marketing your products or service.

Publishing Your Landing Page

Now comes the crucial part. Now you need to publish your page to make it available to your audience. A landing page is essential to promoting a product or service. This will ensure that your page is seen by as many people as possible and help you to increase traffic to your site. Landing Page Optimization Checklist

Are you satisfied with the layout and design? You can integrate Instapage with any of the following options:

  • You will need to connect your custom domain to your Instapage account before it can be published to your domain. This process is quite complicated, but Instapage will guide you with instructions.
  • WordPress – you can publish your page in an instant thanks to its native WordPress integration
  • Drupal – If you are a large-scale Drupal user, your Instapage-made page can be published instantly by connecting it with the Drupal plug-in.
  • Facebook – This option is helpful if most of your visitors will find your page via Facebook, and you wish to improve the user experience.
  • Demo page – this is a quick and easy option for publishing your landing page if you don’t own a website domain; instead, you’ll be provided a subdomain from Instapage itself.

You can also download your page to be edited and modified for future use, or export it to co-workers and collaborators. If, for some reason, you’re not fully ready to publish it, you can always save its progress, and you can come back to it anytime.

Instapage’s Other Notable Features

Instablocks & Global Blocks

You can add elements to create blocks within pages, but you also have the benefit of being able save it and reuse it whenever you need to make another page. You can also save your own blocks as Instablocks to cut down on the time it takes to build landing pages. These blocks can be used in future pages. To do this, simply right-click on the block you want to use again, then click “Save to My Blocks.” Landing Page Optimization Checklist

Meanwhile, Global Blocks work similarly to Instablocks – the only difference between the two is that the design and layout of the former are specific to one page. At the same time, the latter looks consistent even across multiple pages that have it included. This means if you edit a Global Block on one page, all the changes will be reflected on the same block built into other pages. This can be very useful if you have a section on your website that you wish to be consistent across pages, such as a header, footer or footer. You can disable this feature if you wish.

Split Testing to Optimize Your Landing Page

Optimizing your webpage with A/B/n testing can be a great way to improve it. Before you’re ready to publish, you need to ensure that whatever you’re making should attract the general public. With the optimization experiments feature built into the Instapage Builder, you can easily determine which elements or blocks of the landing page should stay as is since most users are particularly drawn to it, as well as which parts need to be changed.

Split-testing multiple versions of a landing pages is possible with Instapage. Click on the “Traffic Split” button in the Builder to view the options. This allows you to compare and contrast different versions of the page to determine which one performs best. You can create multiple pages and choose the percentage of traffic that will be sent to each version. Instapage then shows you detailed analytic metrics, allowing you to see which version performs better. You can use the winning page as your final landing page layout or continue testing it with different variants to optimize it, ensuring that your page delivers the best possible visitor experience and improves conversion rates. Real-Time Collaboration Tools

Instapage’s many benefits include the ability to collaborate with others and create an immersive experience. With the platform’s live collaboration, working in groups or as a team will be possible. As you turn on Comment mode, you and your teammates can leave comments on different parts of the page by simply clicking on any of the elements or blocks. This feature is helpful if you have any suggestions or requests for changes to the layout and design.

Instapage has also made it possible for you to share your page, even if it’s in progress, with your teammates through a private URL that you can copy and share in their group chat. You may opt to invite any of them with their email addresses as well. Not only can your page be accessed by fellow Instapage users – those who don’t have one can also take a look at what you’re working on.

Instapage AdMap for Increased Conversions

If you want to ensure the landing page for your product or service is sent to the right audience, the AdMap tool can help you achieve your desired results. It’s designed to help increase your conversions and maximize your return on investment by creating and tracking ads across multiple platforms, particularly Google search results and social media sites.

AdMap allows you to customize your ads based on your audience’s interests and behaviors. It can be used to optimize the customer’s journey by identifying and removing the pain points and roadblocks to conversion. It can also help users to see how changes to an ad or page affect the overall performance of their campaign. Instapage AdMap offers a simple interface and detailed analytics reports that will help anyone increase their conversion rate and ROI. You must take note, though, that you must have a Google Ads account to access this feature. Landing Page Optimization Checklist

Integration with Google Ads

Speaking of Google Ads, if you happen to use it frequently for digital marketing and business purposes, you can easily connect your landing page with your Google Ads account to maximize your reach to a much wider audience. With only a few clicks away, you can review and keep track of your campaign’s progress, how much you’ve spent, and even how well-received your pages are for countless online users worldwide – all while you’re in your Instapage dashboard.

Heatmap Analytics Tool

As a means to better understand customer behavior on your page, Instapage’s native heatmap analytics feature lets you take an in-depth, real-time look at how your users interact with certain parts of your landing page, offering valuable insights into how customers use a website. This tool allows businesses to identify hotspots in their websites, such as pages visited the most or buttons clicked most frequently.

Heatmaps can also be used to identify usability issues that customers might have, which allows businesses to quickly and effectively make improvements. This can be used to track visitor journeys across multiple pages and devices, providing valuable information about how customers engage with content and websites and helping businesses grow and succeed in the long run. Analytics in Instapage

Instapage excels as both a landing-page creator and a lead generation tool. Its analytics section perfectly reflects this. Real-time analytics is one of Instapage’s most popular features. It provides a complete overview of how your page is performing online and includes detailed visuals as well as accurate numbers. It allows you to track and analyze the performance of their landing pages. This feature gives detailed information about metrics like page views, unique visitors and bounce rates. This information can then be used to optimize and improve the quality of landing pages and, in return, the overall standing of a business.

Instapage’s analytics tools include the Conversion Goals tool, which is built into the page builder. This allows you to create specific goals for your page and track them. You can also integrate with third party analytics platforms to gain insight into user behavior and boost optimization of your page. This includes Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel and many others. Instapage Analytics helps users understand how their landing pages perform and make data-driven decisions about how to improve them.
