I’ve been using Instapage for quite some time to make high-converting pages for my and other businesses. I’ve come to appreciate the many benefits of Instapage since I had the chance to switch from another page builder. While there are many benefits I have enjoyed, there is always a downside.
With that said, I’ll be taking a close look at the features offered by Instapage, as well as discussing the pricing plans offered by the platform and how to use it for the first time. You’ll be able to see if Instapage is right for you by the end of the review.

Instapage Landing Page Builder: A Overview Real Time Workflow Vs Background Workflow
Before we get to the bottom of all of this, you must know first-hand what Instapage really is as a platform. Instapage is a landing-page builder that helps you create attractive, eye-catching and high-quality landing pages. However, it’s not just any average landing page editor. Instapage is backed by a number of powerful tools that make it simple to quickly create high-converting landing page templates.
With its drag-and-drop interface, Instapage lets you customize your pages without any semblance of coding knowledge. You can also explore ready-made templates that are suitable for different industries and niches. With its ability to customize and personalize dynamically, your pages will stand out among the rest with an extensive library that includes images, videos and building blocks.
Keeping up with the promise to deliver outstanding conversion rates and promising leads to your landing pages, Instapage provides advanced analytics tools to measure how well each page is performing. Additionally, to help you make the most of your landing pages, it allows you to connect with leading marketing, reporting, and testing platforms, making it highly possible to reach your goals quickly. Because of all these and more included in this online software, there’s no doubt that Instapage has become one of the most popular landing page builders on the market today.
Using Instapage to Create a Landing Page
If you’re running a business for the first time, especially one that’s online-centric, you need to realize just how important a landing page is. It not only shows how your business will look to the public but also provides a way for you to build a loyal customer base.
While the idea of building a landing page sounds great, it does, however, come at a cost – and an expensive one, too. There are many factors that can affect the cost of creating a landing site, including the complexity of the design and the resources required to build it. That said, if you want a feature-rich landing page with a more complex design, that would be too expensive to build and maintain. If you don’t have the time or skills to make one, it’s better to hire a professional agency or designer to do it. You could end up spending several hundred to several thousand more on this route than you have budgeted.
Instapage is the perfect solution if you are looking to create high-quality and high-converting landing pages. Instapage offers many customization options and features that make it easy to create pages that look great and work perfectly.

Instapage: Why?
Instapage is an effective tool for creating engaging, user-friendly landing pages that drive potential users into bona fide customers and increase revenue. This platform offers many benefits beyond its customizable page-building tools. Here are some reasons why it is worth a try for any manager of any size business.
You don’t need to know how to make complicated landing pages
Instapage is an easy-to-use platform that allows users to quickly and easily create stunning pages without needing help from outside resources. It doesn’t take a lot of knowledge to create a functional page. All tools are available for this purpose.
Made to Create Landing Pages and Landing Pages Only
Unlike other page builders, particularly the built-in WordPress page builder, Instapage comes with templates that are exclusively designed in the style of a landing page. Plus, you have many more options to choose from, so you will get everything!
More Analytics-focused Page-building
Instapage allows you to optimize landing pages for conversions. You can test different versions and track the results. With powerful analytics and optimization tools, you can increase your reach and track the performance of your page to identify improvement areas.
You can create multiple landing pages with one account
If you happen to manage multiple websites, your single Instapage account is enough to create and host multiple landing pages for each site. This is a significant advantage over other website builders that allow you to manage one account per base plan.

- A user-friendly page builder with a familiar drag-and-drop functionality
- The option to create mobile-friendly versions of landing pages
- Highly-customizable templates
- Blocks, forms, and other elements that can be easily resized and modified to fit your needs.
- Unlimited access to high-quality stock images
- Easy publishing and export to various platforms, including WordPress and your custom domain
- Integrations with popular digital marketing and email marketing tools such as MailChimp
These are only a few of the many features you can expect from Instapage. I’ll show you the rest later on in the article, but for now, since we have a general idea of what it is, it would be nice if I take you through a hands-on look at what it’s like to use this landing page builder for the first time.
Sign up now to create an account. Just like every other landing page builder, you won’t fully get the Instapage experience until you register your account. As soon as you log in, you’ll first notice your dashboard, where you’ll find a full overview of how much progress you’ll be making. You won’t see much on your dashboard because this is your first attempt. It’s okay, you’ll learn how to create your own landing page. Let’s get started!
Building a Landing Page from Scratch
Click on “Landing pages” in the left-side menu of your dashboard and then click “Create Page”. Once you hit the button, you’ll instantly be greeted by a vast collection of around 200 landing page templates, each of which you can use and customize however you like for whatever you want to promote.
You’ll also be given the option to start with a blank page without any template or design (Blank Page), but that’s up to you if you think you have experience in building websites. We will build a landing page from scratch using templates that are already in use, as many people are reading this tutorial.
You have many options to choose from depending on the purpose of your campaign. Select the Use case filter to see a list of available templates. There are many templates that you can choose from. One template is designed to encourage users to download your app (App Download), another one to sign people up for an event (Event registration) or one to thank them for buying your product/service. No matter the use case, Instapage has a template all set for you to use.
Now, let’s say we’re building a landing page to launch a product. What should you do? You can start by selecting “Product Launch” from the filter. Next, choose one of the themes that will appear in the search results. As you pick the landing page design that you think looks good for what you’re aiming to promote, you’ll be welcomed by a quick page preview. This preview will give you an idea of the final product when it is made available to the public.
It’s up to the user to decide if they will use it. You can always go back to the beginning and look at the layout until you find it perfect. Otherwise, if you like it, then you can click “Use this layout.” After you have chosen the landing page design you will need to give it a name to help keep things organized.
Customizing Your Landing Page
With your chosen page layout now ready to go, the next step is to customize it according to your liking. You’ll be immediately redirected to the Instapage page builder, which happens to be one of my all-time favorites coming from the platform (an opinion that, surprisingly, everyone agrees!). This stage allows you to enhance the visual appeal and engagement of your landing page. The best part of it all is that you don’t need to do any of the work since Instapage does it for you.
Instapage Builder allows you to drag and drop elements anywhere on the page. This is in contrast to WordPress, which may allow you to try pulling any element but it will be locked in a row or column and cannot move at all. It works in a similar way to the Photoshop interface. You won’t see any elements you drag get locked, so you can move your mouse around and drag-and drop as you please.
While the ability to drag and drop may feel more Photoshop-like, the rest of the Builder’s interface should be in some ways familiar, especially to those who’ve used the WordPress editor in the past. There are many elements, widgets and forms available to you. Once you click on one of them, you can make any changes you want to your landing page.
Adding Elements and Making Adjustments
The Instapage Builder experience, of course, wouldn’t be complete without the ability to add and rearrange a wide array of visual elements such as images, videos, and graphics, as well as headlines, text boxes, buttons, shapes, and even widgets. Interactive features such as surveys and text boxes can be added to your Instapage Builder account to capture user data while keeping them interested. To enhance the appearance of your webpage, you can use colors, fonts, and other design elements. Real Time Workflow Vs Background Workflow
Instapage terminology refers to a group of elements that are grouped together as a block. A block can be modified with a few adjustments and elements. You can also copy, duplicate, or even delete it if you wish. And that’s just for creating a full block – if you don’t have ample time to deal with it or are not confident enough with your page-building skills, you can always look at the Instapage Builder’s selection of block templates, each ready-to-use.
You’ll notice the preview for a landing page you create is designed for desktop. Instapage makes it easy to create a mobile-friendly version. Every template is optimized for mobile use. Just like with editing the desktop version, you can conceal certain elements or even whole blocks from those who will go to your landing page using their smartphones.
With this life-saving feature, you won’t need to go too far to the point where you’ll have two completely different page versions. Overall, by customizing your landing page this way, you can create an attractive and effective platform for marketing your products or services.
Publishing Your Landing Page
This is the most important part. Once your page is ready and optimized, the next thing you must need to do is to publish it to make it live and accessible to your audience. Publishing a landing page is an important step in the process of creating success in whatever you’re promoting, whether it’s a product or a service. This will make sure that your landing page is visible to as many people as possible, and increase traffic to your website. Real Time Workflow Vs Background Workflow
Satisfied with your design and layout? Instapage can be integrated with any of these options:
- Custom domain – you’ll need to connect it to your Instapage account first before you get it published to your domain – the process will be quite complex, but Instapage will lead you through it with instruction guides along the way
- WordPress – You can publish your page instantly thanks to its native WordPress integration
- Drupal – If you are a large-scale Drupal user, your Instapage-made page can be published instantly by connecting it with the Drupal plug-in.
- Facebook – this option is useful if you expect most of your visitors to find your page via Facebook and you want to improve the user experience there
- Demo page – this is a quick and easy option for publishing your landing page if you don’t own a website domain; instead, you’ll be provided a subdomain from Instapage itself.
You can also download your page to be edited and modified for future use, or export it to co-workers and collaborators. If, for some reason, you’re not fully ready to publish it, you can always save its progress, and you can come back to it anytime.

Instapage’s Other Important Features
Instablocks & Global Blocks
While you can add certain elements to create a block within a page, you get the added benefit of being able to save and reuse it whenever you want to create another page. To further cut the time spent on building landing pages in half, you can save the blocks you made yourself as Instablocks, which you can implement when you create other pages in future projects. Simply right-click the block you wish to reuse, and then click “Save To My Blocks”. Real Time Workflow Vs Background Workflow
Meanwhile, Global Blocks work similarly to Instablocks – the only difference between the two is that the design and layout of the former are specific to one page. At the same time, the latter looks consistent even across multiple pages that have it included. This means if you edit a Global Block on one page, all the changes will be reflected on the same block built into other pages. This can be very useful if you have a section on your website that you wish to be consistent across pages, such as a header, footer or footer. You can disable this feature if you wish.
Split Testing to Optimize Your Landing Page
Optimizing your webpage with A/B/n testing can be a great way to improve it. Before you publish your page, ensure that it is appealing to the public. The optimization experiments feature in the Instapage Builder allows you to easily identify which elements or blocks should remain as they are, since many people are drawn to them, and which parts must be modified.
Instapage allows you to split-test multiple versions of a landing page by clicking on the “Traffic Split” button in the Builder, which enables you to compare different variations of the same page and analyze which performs better. You can create multiple pages and choose the percentage of traffic that will be sent to each version. Instapage then shows you detailed analytic metrics, allowing you to see which version performs better. You can use the winning page as your final landing page layout or continue testing it with different variants to optimize it, ensuring that your page delivers the best possible visitor experience and improves conversion rates. Real Time Workflow Vs Background Workflow
Real-Time Collaboration Tools
One of the many nice aspects of Instapage is that you can conveniently collaborate with other people to create a more immersive experience. If you work in a group or team, you’ll be able to do exactly that with the platform’s real-time collaboration features. As you turn on Comment mode, you and your teammates can leave comments on different parts of the page by simply clicking on any of the elements or blocks. This feature is helpful if you have any suggestions or requests for changes to the layout and design.
Instapage also allows you to share your page with your team members, even if it is still in progress. This URL can be copied and shared in the group chat. You may opt to invite any of them with their email addresses as well. Your page can be accessed by other Instapage users. Those who don’t have an account can still view what you are working on.
Increased Conversions with Instapage AdMap
The AdMap tool is a great way to make sure your landing page for your product/service gets sent to the right people. The AdMap tool is designed to increase conversions and maximize return on investment. It allows you to create and track ads across multiple platforms, including Google search results.
AdMap lets you customize your ads according to your audience’s preferences and behavior. It can help optimize customer journeys by identifying and eliminating roadblocks and pain points that prevent customers from converting. It can also help users to see how changes to an ad or page affect the overall performance of their campaign. With its easy-to-use interface and detailed analytics reports, Instapage AdMap is the perfect solution for anyone who wants to increase their ROI and conversion rate. You must take note, though, that you must have a Google Ads account to access this feature. Real Time Workflow Vs Background Workflow
Integration with Google Ads
Google Ads is a great tool for business and digital marketing. You can connect your landing page to your Google Ads account to increase your reach to a wider audience. You can easily track the progress of your campaign, how much you spent, and how popular your pages were for thousands of online users around the world by just a few clicks – all from your Instapage dashboard.
Heatmap Analytics Tool
Instapage’s native heatmap analytics allows you to see how users interact with your landing pages. This will allow you to gain valuable insight into customers’ use of a website. This tool allows businesses to identify hotspots in their websites, such as pages visited the most or buttons clicked most frequently.
Heatmaps also help to highlight any usability issues customers may be experiencing, allowing businesses to make changes quickly and effectively. This can be used to track visitor journeys across multiple pages and devices, providing valuable information about how customers engage with content and websites and helping businesses grow and succeed in the long run. Analytics in Instapage
Instapage excels as both a landing-page creator and a lead generation tool. Its analytics section perfectly reflects this. Real-time analytics is one of Instapage’s most popular features. It provides a complete overview of how your page is performing online and includes detailed visuals as well as accurate numbers. This feature allows you to monitor and analyze their landing pages’ performance. The feature provides detailed information on metrics such as page views, unique visitors, bounce rates, and more. This data can be used to improve and optimize landing pages, and in turn, improve the business’ overall standing.
Included in the lineup of analytics tools that Instapage offers is the Conversion Goals tool built within the page builder, which allows you to set specific goals for your page to track. Additionally, you can integrate with third-party analytics platforms to gain insights into user behavior and help boost the optimization of your page, such as Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, and more. Instapage Analytics allows users to analyze how landing pages perform and make data-driven choices about how to improve them.
Instapage Pricing: What Does it Cost?
Considering its wide and robust range of advanced-level tools and features, it’s no surprise that Instapage’s price range is more high-end than other landing page software. Its services were previously priced at $68, but now it costs just $199 per month. The pricing may be a lot to take in, especially for smaller businesses with limited budgets. It’s important to note that Instapage offers more features than any other landing page editor, including WordPress.
